    The Story of Reality Winner
    Dec 22, 2023
With the revelation that the US Government is looking for yet more classfied documents which 'disappeared' when former President Donald Trump left office, and with his documents trial looming ever larger, we thought it would be apposite to look back at the case of Reality Winner, who leaked ONE document and paid the price. A price Trump has yet to even challenge in court.
Relity Winner was a former intelligence contractor who was imprisoned for leaking a report about Russian interference in the US presidential election that Donald Trump won in 2016 has insisted she acted out of love for a nation that was “being lied to”.
“I am not a traitor – I am not a spy,” Reality Winner said in an interview aired Sunday on CBS’ 60 Minutes. “I am somebody who only acted out of love for what this country stands for.”
In some of her most extensive remarks about her case since she was freed from prison last year for good behavior, Winner portrayed herself living as normal a life as possible in Texas, teaching yoga and fitness while also being a pet owner, daughter and sister named after a pun of her family’s surname and her father’s wish to have a “real winner”.
The 30-year-old also gave perhaps the most detailed account yet about the day she decided to leave her National Security Agency contractor’s office at the Fort Gordon army base in Georgia with an intelligence report about Russian attempts to meddle in the election that saw Trump beat Hillary Clinton for the White House.
Working for NSA contractor Pluribus International Corporation, Winner printed the document – labeled “TOP SECRET” – that explained how Russian military intelligence officials hacked at least one supplier of voting software and tried to break into more than 100 local election systems before the polls closed in 2016.
She tucked the report into the pantyhose underneath her dress and walked out of her office at the Fort Gordon army base in Georgia before the document became the basis of an article published on the Intercept news site.
Federal authorities announced that Winner had been arrested about an hour after that article came out. The Trump administration had her charged under the Espionage Act, which was initially created during the first world war as a means to punish people spying on the US during times of foreign conflict.
Winner pleaded guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors that called for her to be sentenced to five years in prison beginning in 2018. Authorities said the sentence was the longest ever handed down by a US federal court to someone convicted of providing government information to the media without permission.

Christine L. Kramer - inside RFK Jr.’s Chaotic White House Bid Aug 21, 2024
Show notes Christine L. Kramer - inside RFK Jr.’s Chaotic White House Bid
    May 13, 2024
How serious is RFK's presidential bid? From the chaos of the launch through botched announcements, clarifications and retractions, it would appear to an outsider as not very. If his bid is serious then there are concerns about his standpoints on issues and, judging by his campaign thus far, his competency.Could it be he is actually a device, used and opaquely funded by the right wing, to draw votes away from Biden, therefore solidifying Trumps' figures in the election?Christine Kramer is a investigative reporter who has been on the inside of RFK's campaign. And she has some tales to tell.RFK Jr.,is an American politician, environmental lawyer, anti-vaccine activist, and conspiracy theorist. He is the chairman and founder of Children's Health Defense, an anti-vaccine advocacy group that is a leading proponent of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, and an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election. A member of the Kennedy family, he is a son of U.S. attorney general and senator Robert F. Kennedy, and nephew of U.S. president John F. Kennedy and senator Ted Kennedy.Kennedy began his career as an assistant district attorney in New York City. In 1984 and 1986, he joined two nonprofits focused on environmental protection: Riverkeeper and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). His work at Riverkeeper set long-term environmental legal standards. At both organizations, he won legal battles against large corporate polluters. He became an adjunct professor of environmental law at Pace University School of Law in 1986. In 1987, he founded Pace's Environmental Litigation Clinic, where he held the post of supervising attorney and co-director until 2017. He founded the nonprofit environmental group Waterkeeper Alliance in 1999, serving as the president of its board.

Bob Zeidman - My Pillow and Mike Lindell
    Oct 23, 2023
As we all know, January 6 2021 was a nightmare day for America. Hordes of Trump supporters stormed the Capital building, seemingly at the instruction of the then President in an attempt to stay in power by any means.
As the dust settled and the invaders were repelled and brought to justice, some voices refused to accept the outcome of the election. One of them was the billionaire CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell. As time went by, Lindell held symposiums and conferences in lecture theatres and other venues across the States, protesting he had clear evidence that the 2020 election was indeed rigged. He even claimed to have external hard drives with encrypted data absolutely confirming his claims, although when the disks were examined by a IT Professional, Bob Zeidman, it turned out to contain some corrupted files, a couple of badly maintained Excel spreadsheets some word documents containing gibberish and a not a lot else. Undeterred, Lindell continued his campaign from his self-funded 'best media organisation on the planet' which suffered constant sound loss, vision loss, missed cues and videos which just didn't play. Showing remarkable tenacity, he even attempted to bolster his funds by doing a firesale of MyPillow warehouse and office equipment; it went as well as the rest of the schemes with forklifts fetching a hefty $20 tariff.
Sued by Dominion Voting Systems for hundreds of millions, the withdrawal of many outlets such as WalMart of his product and the spiralling cost of his 'media empire', Lindell has exhausted his own fortune and his line of credit is gone. All to support a former President who is now conspicuously failing to return the favour.
But from where he started, as a broken crack addict, Lindell is a remarkable man in many ways, and his story is one about America; about optimism and making it in the Land of the Free.
Bob Zeidman is an American electrical engineer and inventor. He rose to national attention in the USA after a private arbitration panel in April, 2023 ruled that Zeidman had proved material provided by Mike Lindell was not data from the 2020 presidential election. As such it could not be evidence of Chinese electoral interference. He tells Ed Opperman the story behind the story.

In late 1970, a mild-mannered Haverford College physics professor privately asked a few people this question: “What do you think of burglarizing an FBI office?” In remarkable detail and with astonishing depth of research, Betty Medsger reveals the never-before-told full story of the history-changing break-in at the Media, Pennsylvania, FBI offices. Through their exploits, a group of unlikely activists exposed the shocking truth that J. Edgar Hoover was operating a shadow Bureau engaged in illegal surveillance and harassment of the American people.

The Folk Singers and the Bureau: The FBI, the Folk Artists and the Suppression of the Communist Party
    May 1, 2021
The first book to document the efforts of the FBI against the most famous American folk singers of the mid-twentieth century, including Woody Guthrie, 'Sis Cunningham, Pete Seeger, Lee Hays and Burl Ives.
Some of the most prominent folk singers of the twentieth century, including Woody Guthrie, 'Sis Cunningham, Pete Seeger, Lee Hays, Burl Ives, etc., were also political activists with various associations with the American Communist Party. As a consequence, the FBI, along with other governmental and right-wing organizations, were monitoring them, keeping meticulous files running many thousands of pages, and making (and carrying out) plans to purge them from the cultural realm.
In The Folk Singers and the Bureau, Aaron J Leonard draws on an unprecedented array of declassified documents and never before released files to shed light on the interplay between left-wing folk artists and their relationship with the American Communist Party, and how it put them in the US government's repressive cross hairs.
At a time of increasing state surveillance and repression, The Folk Singers and the Bureau shows how the FBI and other governmental agencies have attempted to shape and repress American culture.

'THE SON OF SAM' AND ME: The Truth About Why I Wasn’t Shot By David Berkowitz Aug 19, 2024
    Show notes

In 1976, a killer who called himself ‘The Son of Sam’ shot and killed a half dozen people and wounded as many more in New York City. During his crime spree, the madman left bizarre letters mocking the police and promising more deaths.
After months of terrorizing the city while garnering front-page headlines and international attention, a man named David Berkowitz was arrested. He confessed to the shootings, claiming to be obeying a demon that resided in a dog that belonged to his neighbor “Sam.”
Among the alleged victims was Carl Denaro. On the night he was shot, Denaro was hanging out with some friends at a bar when he met up with a woman named Rosemary Keenan. The couple left the bar and went to Keenan’s car to make out. However, a few minutes later, the windows of the car exploded as Denaro was shot in the head by an unseen assailant. Miraculously, Denaro survived the attack.
When Berkowitz was arrested, he was charged with trying to kill Denaro. However, there was a twist. Although he confessed to the other shootings, after his conviction Berkowitz denied attacking Denaro.
Now, after years of research, Denaro is convinced that Berkowitz was telling the truth, and that someone else tried to kill him.
In 'THE SON OF SAM’ AND ME: The Truth About Why I Wasn’t Shot By David Berkowitz, author Carl Denaro with co-author Brian Whitney (THE “SUPREME GENTLEMAN” KILLER, WildBlue Press) reveals his search for the truth and his shocking conclusion regarding the identity of the real shooter. In the book, Denaro also writes about his friendship and investigative partnership with Maury Terry, the author of THE ULTIMATE EVIL, which is considered the definitive case study on the theory that Berkowitz did not act alone.
Includes Never Revealed Correspondence Between Denaro and Berkowitz.
