Chris Williamson joins Ed Opperman to talk about the enduring mystery of what exactly happened to aviator Earhart and her navigator Noonan.In July 1937 Earhart took off on what was her second attempt to be fly around the world on board the Electra. It was to be a 12 hour flight which would take her into the next day and a scheduled landing in Hawaii. However she never made it.Radio communication was difficult in that era, but conflicting reports of requests for help and low fuel are consistent throughout the story. When her plane ran into difficulties there was no rescue or recovery vessels in the area, possibly because of poor navigation which had forgotten the latitudinal time difference and therefore made a navigational error.Despite searches – which have continued for decades throughout the sea and nearby Nikumaroro island, no trace of the plane, Earhart or Noonan has ever been found. This has lead to countless theories about what befell the plane.Chris Williamson has been exploring this mystery from every angle for five years in his podcast. He tells Ed Opperman of the likely, the unlikely, the bizarre and the unsavoury notions put forth to try and resolve this enigma.

The creator and host of Profiling Evil is Mike King. Mike retired from law enforcement after 28-years of service. He worked in patrol, SWAT, Motors, investigations and through the ranks, ultimately reaching chief within the Utah Attorney General’s Office. After retirement, he went to work at Esri as a global director of 911 and Fraud. He spent a year with Dataminr until retiring in January of 2024.Mike continues to consult on GIS for public safety for Bent Ear Solutions and appears regularly on CourtTV as a law enforcement subject matter expert. He appears on NewsNation, Fox, Nancy Grace and the Dr. Phil programs regularly. He and FBI profiler Greg Cooper (his mentor) were principle investigators in the Emmy award-winning documentary, “Who Killed King Tut?” Additionally he has worked on A&E’s “Killing Season” and is in his second season with A&E’s History’s Greatest Mysteries with Lawrence Fishburne.

Sean Howe joins Ed Opperman to discuss his book, Agents of Chaos, which focusses in on the legendary iconic, revolutionary publication High Times.The life and times of High Times’ enigmatic founder Thomas King Forçade, an underground newspaper editor and marijuana kingpin who—between police raids, smuggling runs, and outrageous stunts—battled both the US government and fellow radicals.At the end of the 1960s, the mysterious Tom Forçade suddenly appeared, insinuating himself into the top echelons of countercultural politics and assuming control of the Underground Press Syndicate, a coalition of newspapers across the country. Weathering government surveillance and harassment, he embarked on a landmark court battle to obtain White House press credentials. But his audacious exploits—pieing Congressional panelists, stealing presidential portraits, and picking fights with other activists—led to accusations that he was an agent provocateur.As the era of protest faded and the dark shadows of Watergate spread, Forçade hoped that marijuana could be the path to cultural and economic revolution.
