EP 48: The Lobster Jun 27, 2016

Show notes

Which animal would you prefer to turn into if you don't make it through this episode? Shahir's going with a platypus because he can't make up his mind about whether he likes the film, while Matt's probably going to be a duck sized horse filled with anger and rage. The discussion gets heated as Shahir and Matt crack open Yorgos Lanthimos' The Lobster and deliver their verdict in the most deadpan and dry way possible - you want butter with that? As always, drop us a line at onlymoviepodcast@gmail.com or hit us up on twitter @onlymoviepod. The facebook page is becoming a hive of villainy, so stop by and check out the guys online feuds. A Bonus episode for your mid-week listening pleasure! Listener Dave Rowe asked if we'd be interested in re-watching Children of Men, and we were! Matt and Shahir dip back into Alfonso Cauron's under-appreciated 2006 science fiction classic featuring Clive Owen wandering around a dystopian London society on the verge of collapse since humanity has become infertile. We talk about the films disappointing box office haul, despite being widely acclaimed as a masterpiece. Ep 45: Popstar Jun 13, 2016

Show notes

What's this? One week into it's release and The Lonely Island's debut feature "Popstar: Never Stop, Never Stopping" has dropped off the top 10 charts already? Never fear, Matt and Shahir are here to drive this back up the charts to Number 1! Why? Because it's awesome and because it might be the first time in a while that Shahir actually had fun at the movies (Whaaaaa?)
