Shawn Brewster is a fixture in the local music scene and after talking to him about music for the Scene podcast we decided to talk about sports too. He's a phenomenal musician that you really should check out when you have the chance. We talked a lot about the Browns and the idea of Johnny Manziel not being able to take the opportunities given to him as compared to other entertainers.

I met some fine people at a local marketing firm who have a podcast called the thunder::cast so when an opportunity arose with the annual convergence of sports and advertising with the Super Bowl, we decided to co-host a podcast together. I was joined by Jason Therrien, Craig Israel and Eric Crilow to talk about the big game and all the advertising strategies past, present and future surrounding it.

Cavaliers post-Blatt, Super Bowl parties, and Johnny Free February - WFNY Podcast #454 Feb 02, 2016

Show notes

Dave Sterling is BACK on the podcast with Craig. It's been a bit since Dave was on, but we had an agenda printed out and everything to keep us on track. We discussed the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, the Cavaliers in a post-Blatt world, and also David Griffin. In Griffin we trust, apparently.

Talking about Stipe Miocic getting and losing his title shot - WFNY Podcast #453 Jan 26, 2016

Show notes

Stipe Miocic was the number one contender and very briefly had a title shot all lined up. A lot can happen in 48 hours, unfortunately. We break it all down including how the title shot came to be and how it was ripped away by Fabricio Werdum's subsequent injury pull out. What will become of UFC 196? What is next up for Stipe now that he's in limbo?

It was an entertaining weekend of football with the Broncos and Peyton Manning defeating Tom Brady and the Pats. Or was it the defenses? Coaches? I discuss those matchups as well as the decimation that the Carolina Panthers put on the Cardinals. Finally we discuss the David Blatt firing and the reality of the Cavaliers' championship chances considering the changes.

Not drawing conclusions about the Cavaliers - WFNY Podcast #451 Jan 20, 2016

Show notes

I didn't feel even remotely badly about leaving the Cavaliers game early on Monday as they got plastered by the Warriors. Even as I was annoyed and embarrassed by them, I'm not ready to draw a bunch of conclusions for the 2016 playoffs just yet. Also, we mark the beginning of Cleveland Indians attendance talk for the 2016 season. We made it to the third week in January. Congrats!

Hue Jackson's opening presser - WFNY Podcast #449 Jan 14, 2016

Show notes

Just like we did with Jimmy Haslam's press conference, WFNY's got your back if you missed Hue Jackson's opening remarks. Also Craig talks all over it and about it. Overall, I'd say it was a good press conference. They're all pretty good on day one. Now the real work begins for the Cleveland Browns.
