Doug and Drew’s AvGeek credentials are vetted on this episode as we welcome card-carrying AvGeek Chris Slimmer. Chris organizes the upcoming Airliners International Conference, the largest airline collectibles show in the country! He regales us with his stories of jumpseating on the Concorde and many other amazing aviation stories over the last several decades. Plus he gives us his overview of flying on upstart airlines Breeze and Avelo.
We also discuss how airlines are "running it hard" as the summer travel number continue to strain fleets. Southwest and American cancel hundreds of flights and Lufthansa elects to bring back the A340-600 for Summer 2022, citing the need for First Class seats - a positive sign?

We end the show with and exciting exclusive announcement from Chris regarding the next Airliners International Conference in June 2022.

    • Our Ops Center discussion focuses on windshear and microbursts and how we’re able to detect them

We finish the episode with our thoughts on a blog post explaining why widebody domestic flights should be avoided. What!? We think you know where this discussion is going...
