One of the greatest movies ever made... and somehow Ryan Brown had NEVER seen it.
In this special Watch Party episode of The Next Reel, Lance Taylor and Tyler Johns sit down with their desk colleague, Ryan Brown, as he experiences Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993) for the very first time. Along the way, they react to every iconic moment while diving deep into the fascinating behind-the-scenes stories that made this groundbreaking blockbuster a cinematic masterpiece.
During this two-hour watch party, we discuss:

🎬 Why Steven Spielberg beat out several legendary directors for the film
🎭 The incredible list of actors who almost played Dr. Grant, Ian Malcolm, Ellie Sattler, John Hammond, and Dennis Nedry

🌪️ The devastating Hurricane Iniki that nearly shut down production in Hawaii
💰 The $63 million budget that turned into a $913 million worldwide phenomenon
🤯 Why the dinosaurs only appear on screen for about 15 minutes—and why that made them even more effective
🥤 The true story behind the iconic rippling water glass before the T-Rex attack
🎥 How Spielberg somehow directed Jurassic Park and Schindler's List at the same time
We also discuss the massive studio bidding war over Michael Crichton's novel, James Cameron's much darker vision for the movie, the groundbreaking mix of animatronics and CGI, and why Jurassic Park remains one of the most influential films in movie history.
