"Weapons" Aug 09, 2025

Show notes

For this week's main podcast review, Ema Sasic, Dan Bayer, Katie Johnson, Cody Dericks & Brendan Hodges join me to review the latest film from filmmaker Zach Cregger, "Weapons," starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Cary Christopher, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong & Amy Madigan. Following the success of his previous horror film "Barbarian," anticipation has been high to see how the former The Whitest Kids U' Know member would top himself and the marketing by brilliant Warner Bros. has done a great job at presenting the core mystery to the audience without giving away any spoilers, making this one of the must-see horror films of the year. What did we ultimately think of it? Please tune in as we discuss the performances, writing, craftsmanship, the themes, the film's much-discussed reveal and ending, plus its awards season chances, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!
