Interview With Actor Russell Hornsby On "The Hate U Give" Mar 07, 2018

Show notes

Russell Hornsby is an actor who has had a short but impactful career so far recently making waves for his performance in 2016's "Fences" and now with his latest appearance in "The Hate U Give," Hornsby has provided us with some of his best work to date. With talk of a possible Oscar nomination for the 44 year-old-actor, we were very appreciative to receive the opportunity to talk with Russell about his experiences on the film. "The Hate U Give" is currently playing in theaters and we'll next see Hornsby on the big screen in "Creed II" later this year.

Show notes

Damien Chazelle's "First Man" is one of the year's best films and it is also one of the year's best technical showcases for various departments involved in the production. Myself and Will Mavity received the opportunity to interview members of the post-production team for Visual Effects and Film Editing, Academy Award Winners Paul Lambert ("Blade Runner 2049") and Tom Cross ("Whiplash" and "La La Land"). Through our conversations, they peal back the layers on Damien Chazelle's re-telling of Neil Armstrong's mission to the moon, what it was like to work with the hands-on director, the challenges they faced and more!
