As we wrote yesterday, President Trump, standing beside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, formally announced details from a peace plan designed to settle differences between Israelis and Palestinians.

“It will be a suggestion between Israel and the Palestinians. It’s the closest it’s ever come,” Trump told reporters. “We have support of the prime minister. We have the support of the other [Israeli political] parties, and we think we will ultimately have support of Palestinians.”

Education Group Called “Dangerous” for Looking at Ways to “Fix Science” Jan 29, 2020

The National Association of Scholars (NAS), a group that looks to foster intellectual freedom on the campuses of America, is under a left-wing and climate-hysteric attack for having the temerity to host a conference called Fixing Science: Practical Solutions for the Irreproducibility Crisis. Among the attacks is the absurd claim that the NAS is harboring a “white supremacy” agenda.

Irreproducibility, simply explained, means that a conclusion brought forth by scientists cannot be reproduced experimentally. As the event’s description points out, “If you can’t reproduce a result, it isn’t science.”

Democrats’ Quandary: What To Do About Bernie? Jan 29, 2020

With Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) stretching his lead over former Vice President Joe Biden in the days heading into the Iowa caucuses, the Democrat Party’s leadership is getting nervous. A poll by Iowa State University shows him leading Biden by nine points: 24 to 15, while Emerson reports Sanders ahead of Biden 30 to 21. The NY Times/Siena poll shows similar results: Sanders 25, Biden 17.

This is making key Democrat leaders nervous. Matt Bennett, vice president of the Democratic think tank Third Way, said, “We issued a warning a year ago that Sanders could win the nomination and would likely lose to Trump.… It’s past time for Democrats to come off the sidelines.… We simply can’t stand by while there’s a threat that Democrats could nominate a guy who would hand such nuclear-level ammunition to the Trump campaign.”

Dancing With the Devil: China Remaking Bible So It’s Compatible With Socialism Jan 29, 2020

China sometimes calls itself the Middle Kingdom, but it’s paving a way to the netherworld with a new effort: rewriting the Bible to make it compatible with socialism. Moreover, it’s doing the same with the Koran.

In fact, Beijing is instituting new religious rules, set to take effect February 1, that may essentially make the state the church. As AsiaNews.it reported, under the rules, “Every aspect of the life of religious communities — from formation, to gatherings, to annual and daily projects — is subject to approval by the government’s religious affairs department.”

CNN’s Don Lemon and Guests Mock Trump Supporters Jan 29, 2020

On Saturday evening, Americans got a small glimpse into the distorted mind of the mainstream news media and found out exactly what the anchors and punditry of CNN, in particular, think of them. Frustrated and grasping at straws in their orchestrated attempt with Democrats to remove Donald Trump from office, host Don Lemon and pundit guests turned to mocking and verbally abusing the president’s supporters.

During CNN’s live coverage of the impeachment circus on Saturday night, New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali and alleged GOP strategist Rick Wilson joined the vacuous Lemon to discuss a spat between NPR’s Mary Louise Kelly and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in which Pompeo suggested that Kelly couldn’t find Ukraine on a map.

10 Years Later: Gloomy Predictions Following Citizens United Decision Didn’t Happen Jan 28, 2020

Predictions that the decision by the Supreme Court 10 years ago in Citizens United v. FEC (Federal Election Commission) would allow “dark money” to invade and take over the political process in the United States have failed to materialize. Instead, the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech has been strengthened in the political arena, to the benefit of the Republic.

Some Democrats still haven’t gotten the memo. Senator Tom Udall (D-N.M.) declared just last week that “Ten years after Citizens United our democracy has reached a crisis point. Just look at the ever-increasing amount of secret money flooding [into] our elections.” The New York Times whined at the time of the ruling that the decision “paved the way for corporations to use their vast treasuries to overwhelm elections … thrust[ing] politics back to the robber-baron era of the 19th century.”

Trump Defense Goes on Offense Against Biden — and Obama Jan 28, 2020

There is an old saying that the best defense is a good offense. While ordinarily this is a sports analogy, on Monday the Trump defense team in the Senate impeachment trial turned the attention of the senators — and hopefully the nation — to allegations of misconduct by former Vice President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and even former President Barack Obama. Many Americans, frustrated at what they believe to be constant, carping criticism of President Donald Trump (and the millions of Americans who support him and his policies), are no doubt thinking, “It’s about time!”

For weeks, the mainstream media has reported that President Trump held up aid to the nation of Ukraine until they agreed to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Most of the time, the Democrats and their media allies do not bother to explain what the Ukrainians were supposed to investigate about the two Bidens, leaving the impression that Trump was pushing some open-ended “fishing expedition” to tar the reputation of the man — Joe Biden — who might very well be Trump’s Democratic Party opponent in the 2020 election.

Buttigieg: Pro-Lifers Not Welcome in Democrat Party Jan 28, 2020

Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg (shown) recently confirmed what everyone in his party has always understood: Folks who harbor a desire to protect the pre-born from the horrors of abortion are not welcome at the leftist-socialist party table.

At a recent “town hall” meeting for Democrat candidates hosted by Fox News, one Democrat attendee who also identifies as a pro-life activist challenged Buttigieg on the Democrat Party’s longtime pro-abortion platform, suggesting that the party make room for individuals who value life.

“The Democratic platform contains language that basically says we don’t belong,” said Kristen Day, who is both a Democrat and a pro-life activist, during the Fox town hall meeting. “We have no part in the party because it says abortion should be legal up to nine months and the government should pay for it. And there’s nothing that says people having a diversity of views on this issues should be included in the party.”

Neoconservative U.K. Think Tank Urges Gov to Silence Politically Incorrect Conservatives Jan 28, 2020

Could you imagine getting 15 years in prison for relating true but politically incorrect ideas online? This could happen if a British think tank and government agency have their way.

Among the groups the U.K. government identifies as “terroristic” are certain Islamist organizations and two labeled neo-Nazi, and sharing material online from such entities is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Yet what some call “hateful propaganda from other groups” is “met with far lower sentences,” the Independent writes.

In fact, a report by the neoconservative think tank the Henry Jackson Society (HJS) — compiled with the apparent blessing of the Commission for Countering Extremism, a government body — complains that Internet postings by non-prohibited groups may not be “properly” censored by social media.

Virginia Democrats Propose Banning Criticism of Government Officials Jan 27, 2020

Virginia’s hard-left Democrats are so terrified of the commonwealth’s conservatives, moderates, and sane liberals they want to criminalize criticism of anti-gun, pro-infanticide Governor Ralph Northam and other top officials.

The proposal to stamp out free speech is buried in a package of amendments to the state code that at first glance seems innocent enough, and would severely punish threats of death and physical harm to the governor, and, again, other state officials.
