Harmony Grillo is a survivor of exploitation turned UCLA honor student. Her goal is to help women and girls entrenched in sexual exploitation find freedom. In 2003, she founded Treasures to support other women in their recovery from the commercial sex industry and trafficking. Harmony’s memoir, Scars and Stilettos, details her harrowing account of moving from victim to survivor to liberator.
Today, she shares her story with host Eddie Kaufholz, and gives us a unique view into serving the exploited.

Her pioneering courage and innovation to build this project from scratch resulted in the rescue of 4,000 people in just three years.

The Asian American Christian Collaborative (AACC) is committed to amplifying the voices, issues, and histories of Asian Americans, both within the church and society at large. Specifically, in this season, they have created a statement titled the “Statement on Anti-Asian Racism in the Time of COVID-19”. It says, in part: “We, the undersigned, join together as Asian American Christians and community leaders to denounce the current rise in overt anti-Asian racism throughout our country." Today, we speak with three of the drafters of this statement: Pastor Raymond Chang, Pastor Gabriel J. Catanus, and Rev. Dr. Jeff M. Liou.
