Her pioneering courage and innovation to build this project from scratch resulted in the rescue of 4,000 people in just three years.

The Picnic Project is a weekly meal served at a church in Sanford, Florida. The meal features Mark's incredible cuisine--for free. But this isn't a "homeless feeding program." The Picnic Project is for everyone. We talk with Thompson about why he brings together those on the streets, as well as, those in homes for a culinary experience and good conversation with friends.

As a juvenile corrections officer, Teresa Goines saw first-hand the problems facing the youth in her area. But, instead of simply accepting that reality, she took many bold steps to help solve the systemic issues—eventually opening Old Skool Cafe.

This youth run, jazz-themed, supper club serves as an intensive real-world vocational training ground, employment incubator, supportive cohort, income generator and connection point with a larger community that champions their success.
