Our Friend, Troy Aikman - Episode 40 Apr 22, 2026
    Show notes

April 22, 2016 - The guys unveil long-awaited official Musers merch, complete with shirts, hats, tumblers, and perhaps the greatest promotional item in podcast history: a free pennant.

The Musers hit a milestone episode with a heavyweight guest as Troy Aikman joins the podcast for a wide-ranging and surprisingly candid conversation. Troy talks Cowboys frustration, working with the Dolphins, life with Joe Buck, staying in elite shape at 59, and why hot yoga might be tougher than winning a Super Bowl. Along the way, he reflects on Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer, his brutal 1-15 rookie season, and the strange art of surviving fame in Dallas.

Also included: obscure Oklahoma football references, red light therapy confusion, and Gordo somehow landing “Coach Billy Ho” from 40 years ago.

Cowboys Weekly - Mocking The 2026 Draft Apr 16, 2026
    Show notes

April 16, 2026 - With the draft looming, the Football Friends convene and immediately spiral into trade charts, mock scenarios, and just enough overconfidence to be dangerous. George, Bob, and Coach Dom debate whether the Cowboys should sit tight at 12 or make a bold move up the board, all while trying to read the minds of 32 front offices that rarely agree with the experts.

From Ohio State defenders to mysterious risers, wide receiver runs, and the eternal “best player vs. biggest need” argument, the board gets reshaped in real time. There’s pushback, second-guessing, and at least one moment where everyone realizes the Cowboys might actually have options… which somehow makes it more complicated.

By the end, a full first-round mock is in place, complete with a Cowboys outcome that feels both exciting and slightly too good to be true. Just the way draft season should feel.

    Lost in Space - Episode 39 Apr 15, 2026
    Show notes

April 15, 2026 - The guys dive into Artemis missions, moon nostalgia, and whether we’re actually heading to Mars or just pretending. Along the way: conspiracy theories get aired out, astronauts apparently smell terrible, and someone suggests solving space travel hygiene by… stepping outside. It’s science, stupidity, and just enough curiosity to make you look up at the sky and wonder what’s out there.

    Cowboys Weekly - Bob's "Reality of 12" Apr 09, 2026
    Show notes

April 9, 2026 - The Cowboys sit at 12 and 20, but the draft may not fall their way. George and Bob break down the “Reality of 12,” where top defensive targets could be gone, and what Dallas should do next.

Trade up for a difference-maker? Stay put and trust the board? Or trade back and stack picks?

It’s a fast-moving draft blueprint covering best vs. need, realistic scenarios, and how the Cowboys can get this right… or very wrong.

    Gordo's Corner!!! Anal Glands - Episode 38 Apr 08, 2026
    Show notes

April 8, 2026 - Gordo takes over and the show immediately drifts into the kind of territory only he can navigate; somewhere between heartfelt pet stories, questionable science, and debates no one saw coming.

Along the way, the guys bounce from animal biology to music history, from band psychology to a chicken coop crime scene, all while occasionally circling back to something resembling a point.

It’s loose, unpredictable, and exactly what you expect from Gordon Keith.

Cowboys Weekly - In Shotty We Trust? Apr 02, 2026
    Show notes

April 2, 2026 - Your Fottball Friends sort through what actually mattered from the NFL owners meetings, why Brian Schottenheimer is already winning people over, and what his comments may reveal about the Cowboys’ offseason plan.

Then they dig into a linebacker-heavy draft conversation, breaking down the Ohio State stars, CJ Allen, Anthony Hill and Jacob Rodriguez, and what Dallas should do with picks 12 and 20. They close with George Pickens contract talk, Jerry being Jerry, and the possibility that the Cowboys still have another move left in them.

Chewbacca: Friend or Pet? - Episode 37 Apr 01, 2026
    Show notes

April 1, 2026 - With his trusty Gunner stuck wearing the “Cone of Shame,” George turns Episode 37 into a conversation about pets and the outsized impact they have on your life and family. If that sounds like an hour of one thing, think again. There are Junior’s runaway dogs, Gordo’s charming parakeet tale, and Jub wandering into a Star Wars question that may offend a few along the way.

    Cowboys Weekly - "A Maxx Deal?" Mar 26, 2026
    Show notes

March 26, 2026 - Your Football Friends run through the Cowboys’ latest round of mostly modest offseason moves, from Sam Howell and Cobie Durant to what Rashan Gary really changes, while also digging into the technique side of pass rushing and why coaching may matter as much as raw talent for a guy like Sam Williams; they like some of what Dallas has added, but the bigger takeaway is that this still feels like a team doing a lot of patching and a little too little solving, especially at linebacker. Then they get into the bizarre Maxx Crosby almost-trade, what Dallas was reportedly willing to give up, whether the price should come down now that the Baltimore deal blew up, and how the whole thing may have nudged the Cowboys toward Gary in the first place, before closing on the rising receiver market and what it could mean for a future George Pickens deal.

    Show notes

March 25, 2026 - The Musers return from spring break with stories from the road, including one all-time bathroom standoff, then wander into a conversation about fandom and how sports, music, and politics all seem to bring out the same kind of passionate, slightly unhinged behavior. Plus, the college baseball story that gave this episode its title.

Cowboys Weekly - Wheelin' & Dealin' Whimper? Mar 12, 2026
    Show notes

March 12, 2026 - On this Cowboys edition of The Musers: The Podcast, George and Bob sort through the early wave of Dallas offseason moves and try to figure out what it all adds up to. There’s reaction to the Cowboys’ usual free agency approach, a discussion of whether the defensive overhaul is actually building toward something meaningful, and a look at why it’s hard to judge the plan while the shopping is still going on.

They also get into trade talk, including the Maxx Crosby drama, the realities of NFL physicals, and what Dallas should be willing to gamble on if it wants to make a real move. Add in some quarterback depth talk, backup job competition, and the usual mix of sharp analysis and nonsense, and it’s Football Friends doing what it does best.
