Thriving After Infidelity: How Two Friends Turned Their Husbands' Infidelity into Divorced Woman Success with guests TH and Jessica of ExExperts; Sep 12, 2022
    Show notes

Infidelity in a marriage can cause shock and heartbreak. This week Michelle Dempsey-Multack sits down with TH Irwin and Jessica Klingbaum of exEXPERTS, two friends who both experienced infidelity in their marriage's days apart. They discuss how finding out their spouses' affairs helped them in the long run. TH and Jessica leaned on each other during a difficult time and used their experience to create exEXPERTS to help and empower other women.

Jessica Klingbaum is an Emmy-nominated former TV producer for national networks, including CBS News, FOX, and CNBC, among others. After a prestigious 20+ year career, she left the industry to spend more time with her family and found herself pursuing a passion in essential oils, ultimately becoming a Certified Aromatherapist. She co-founded exEXPERTS in 2020, the premiere online digital platform for anyone and everyone touched by divorce. exEXPERTS’ free resources include a website, podcast called “Divorce, etc…”, articles, and tips and advice through social media channels, all with the mission to educate, support, and empower those like herself who have been affected by divorce.

Jessica is an eternal optimist who always sees the glass half full. In the little free time she has, she enjoys time with family and friends, snowboarding, traveling and eating as much candy as possible. She has called NYC her home for more than twenty-five years and currently resides in Greenwich Village with her two children. Jessica holds a BA from Brandeis University and a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from New York University.

T.H. Irwin began her career at a boutique market research firm in NYC and after earning her Masters Degree in Marketing from Fordham Graduate School of Business, she went to advance her career at Arthur Andersen Consulting. After her separation, she pivoted and discovered her talent for creating community-driven media events. In her role as Director of Experiential Events for USA Today, she scaled hyper-local, original events to a national level. In 2020 she co-founded exEXPERTS, a free online resource to help women of all ages navigate their divorce - a community she wishes she'd had during her own divorce journey more than a decade ago.

She loves adventure and the outdoors which she proved on a Kilimanjaro climb, her non-profit work with organizations like the Center for Hope & Safety and United Breast Cancer Foundation, and nurturing her mind and body on a daily basis. She lives in Bergen County with her amazing boyfriend, children and dog Daisy.

How To Protect Your Children During Divorce; with Top Dispute Resolution Attorney AJ Grossman Sep 05, 2022
    Show notes

The one question that unites divorcing parents across the world? How to protect the children from the divorce. And believe it or not, it IS possible, as our guest AJ Grossman shares.

Host Michelle Dempsey-Multack and her guest AJ Grossman discussed a whole host of divorce-related topics, but none more important than how to protect your children during the divorce process - which begs with putting your adult emotions to the side in order to give your children the stability they need to succeed.

A.J. Grossman graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in business administration and at the top of his Florida law school class. He immediately went on to achieve his Master of Laws degree in Dispute Resolution from The Straus Institute at Pepperdine University Law School in California, which is the #1 ranked Dispute Resolution program in the country. As the son of a Navy Officer and the founder of several businesses, he learned quickly about service to others. A.J.’s goal is to help people solve problems, plain and simple. Being in the right place, doing the right thing, at the right time, for a person (or couple of people) in need, drives A.J. to continue growing his legal practice. He focuses his efforts on providing solutions that protect the interests of those who seek amicable resolutions in their lives.

Finding your Passion After Divorce: How to Spend Your Kid-Free Time with Things That Fill your Cup; with guest Jade Sklaver Aug 29, 2022
    Show notes

When we become parents, we never imagine spending time away from our children. Divorce changes that, and many of us are left with 50% of our time without them. This week, Jade Sklaver joins Moms Moving On to discuss how she turned her time away from her daughter into a successful business. Jade and I touch on the importance of finding a hobby and your purpose during your time away from your children.

As a University of Florida graduate, Jade Sklaver, founder of StyleChild, majored in Public Relations and pursued many fashion related internships while still in school. After completing rotations at Barney's New York, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and major fashion PR firms, she had no doubt that was the path she was headed down. Working at a few major labels after graduating, Sklaver found herself being hired by Norma Kamali as her right hand person in design and production. The opening on the team proved to be an invaluable opportunity and would ultimately shape her future. Sklaver gained experience working with factories, fabrics, and design in addition to learning product development and production. After another corporate fashion position, and marriage, Sklaver made her way to South Florida and had her daughter, Liv Jaymes. Liv became the inspiration for what came next: StyleChild.

While pregnant with Liv and yearning for a passion project, Sklaver started building the foundation for what is now StyleChild, a kid's shoe company specializing in functional and stylish shoes at affordable prices. The business started with reselling cute and trendy "no label" sneakers and as popularity grew, Sklaver knew she needed a brand of her own to stand behind. After a major life change, Jade decided to take a leap of faith and commit to work directly with the factory to design, manufacture, and produce sneakers under her own label StyleChild. Since then, StyleChild has grown into over 25 exclusive styles, retails in stores all across the country and in Canada and has a highly trafficked website. Most recently, Jade and her small team opened a by-appointment (virtual and in-person) showroom and warehouse in Boca Raton, Florida which has given her customers a personalized shopping experience - especially important during the pandemic. Dedicated to being the best mother and entrepreneur, Jade feels passionate that others can have that same work-life balance and do something they love. She recently launched a Kicks Starter affiliate program that allows other mothers to start their own business selling the StyleChild label in specific markets.
