Charles Hugh Smith, financialization and the destruction of the real economy. Financialization eventually destroys an economy. Everyone is trying to sell everyone financial instruments. Nothing is really produced. The financial structure is really very fragile. The ability of the system to seize up is very real. PM Trudeau was extolling the virtues of globalization. But in reality how much has it really accomplished, other than increasing debt? The Fed said they're going to unwind their balance sheet. It will take them 23 years at the announced rate. The entire system is coming apart as we speak. The macro picture, where we're at. Transports rise to new record levels. Toys-R-Us files for BK. Retail is suffering greatly. Trucking index hit new records. Oil and gas trading above its 200 moving average. And lot's more.

The Weekly Perspective with David Morgan 09.15.17. From Zerohedge, the most important chart in the world - the US Dollar. Penetrated the 94 level which is a big resistance point. Lower dollar prices ahead, but a short term small bounce is probably in the cards which, will pressure gold. The implications are tremendous. Higher profits for multi-nationals. The number of Americans living hand to mouth is astoundingly high. The middle class is getting wiped out here and abroad. It's the elite vs. the lower class. Debt markets, the bond market, US debt has massive one day increase. Rates at 2.2%. What would happen if interest rates were allowed to rise to 5%? There's no way the US gov't can afford to allow rates to rise. At 5% interest payments would rise to $1 trillion. They're not going higher. Those in the know will act accordingly. Gold, silver and precious metals will be the beneficiary. Printing wealth doesn't and cannot work. Equity markets according to Charles Hugh Smith is that this time is different. It's terribly bearish. Nothing has been fixed. The policy fixes have weakened the system.

Wall Street Banks warn downturn is coming. Global markets are in the last stages of their advance as bad economic problems are on the horizon. Dollar falling, market in distribution pattern. US Stock valuations haven't been this extreme since 1929 and 2000. Market valuation has reached speculative levels. Debt markets are also overvalued. US debt rating will come under review if debt limit isn't raised timely. Failure to raise it will create unintended consequences. The game continues until it ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper. There is no connection between the markets relating to the real economy. Many companies laying off employees, ie, the Statement Department, General Motors and number 1 - Macy's. Mostly retail, auto and building supplies. Bitcoin is a gigantic bubble waiting to explode according to Peter Schiff. They're never going to be money, he says. David is favorable to the blockchain. Tesla's Model X beats a Lambo in a 1/4 mile. Germany has completed repatriation of gold 3 years early. Is there really gold in Fort Knox? Mnuchin says it's all there. Make your own decisions.

Deep sub-prime auto loans are starting to go critical. Newcomers are getting hit. Used car prices are crashing. People are buying newer more recent lower mileage used cars. This sector's problems will portend bigger problems for the economy. High yield, junk bonds are going down. Credit default swaps prices are going higher. Beware of counter-party risks. Department store sales are also declining steeply. US stock buybacks are plunging, stocks still going higher, but for how long? Risk is getting higher and higher. It doesn't happen all at once, but eventually it will happen. It might be getting old, but the system is in trouble. Will equities start coming down and watch precious metals have their day? Soon to find out. Good time to be a miner, sooner rather than later. Solar power demand will outstrip demand for silver if it continues growing at the present rate. Even if solar panels increase by 400 percent! Solar panel waste will become a major concern in the next decade as today's panels wear out. Solar panels aren't an efficient way to generate electricity. All that's green does not glitter. Digitization of all assets by the Chinese under way.
