    The Modern Good

The Modern Good is a weekly podcast that explores the collision of mental health, pop culture, current events and spirituality. Each episode is built around a cohesive theme the encourages listeners to think critically about the topic while staying solutions-focused. Each guest or teaching topic upholds our core value – BUILD THE WORLD YOU WANT TO LIVE IN – DON’T JUST COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. It is our sincere hope that this show inspires you to take action and get to work rather than wallow in what feels broken or hopeless.

Episodes are always framed through the lens of Break Method, an industry disruptive approach to rapid emotional rewiring that helps clients stop cycles of negative behaviors for good. This framework encourages listeners to evaluate their programming and biases on a variety of taboo topics while encouraging them to move INTO and THROUGH cognitive dissonance.

Hosted by Bizzie Gold, Founder and Chief Behavioral Strategist of Break Method, author, speaker, wife and mother of 4, The Modern Good will teach you how to calmly and strategically breakdown the most complex of issues in today’s cancel-culture driven society.

Define Your Life with Former Pro Athlete + Stunt Rapper Jon James Oct 23, 2018
    Show notes

In today's episode we talk with Former Pro Athlete turned Stunt Rapper Jon James. Jon's career began in the pro-ski world where he achieved many of the world's first including backflipping onto and off of a rail among others. The self-proclaimed "loose cannon" gives us a behind-the-scenes peek into his creative process for creating music as well as creating and training for stunts of epic proportions.

This episode was filmed in 2016 as he had just launched his music video for Hello which featured an incredible stunt that can be viewed here: YOUTUBE LINK

Sadly, Jon James passed away on October 20th, 2018 filming a stunt for his upcoming music video. He died performing an airplane stunt that included rapping while walking on the wing of the plane. He had trained intensely for this stunt but as Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn't correct. Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly.

Jon was an incredibly motivated person; always smiling, encouraging everyone around him to follow their passion and live life to fullest. He filled everyone around him with positivity and never spoke poorly about another person. He truly had a heart of gold. Jon would want to be remembered as a beacon of light to follow your dreams and would want everyone to continue to be inspired through his music and life message. He is survived by Father Doug McMurray, Mother Jen McMurray, brother Jarred McMurray, wife Kali James McMurray, and countless close friends and fans alike.
