Incident in Las Vegas: New Year's Attacks, UAP Secrets, & Conspiracy Claims | MHP 01.07.25. Jan 08, 2025

The Hunt for Darkstar: America's Next Top Secret Spy Plane | MHP 09.10.24. Sep 10, 2024

In 2013, a feature article appeared on the website of legendary aerospace and defense giant Lockheed Martin that quickly had aviation buffs talking. The piece, titled “Speed is the New Stealth,” claimed that a new hypersonic aircraft was under development at the company’s famous Skunk Works facility, which would soon set a new standard for speed and stealth in American aerospace technologies. They called it the SR-72, an aircraft Aviation Week had already dubbed "the son of Blackbird" after its predecessor, the legendary SR-71.

Today, the status of the SR-72 program remains in question, although recent reports suggest that America's next secretive spy plane could soon be taking flight. Unit 731: Operation Paperclip of the East and the Roswell Controversy | MHP 08.06.24. Aug 07, 2024

After the surrender of Japan that marked the end of the Second World War, American forces began to unravel clues to the existence of a disturbing secret program involving biological experiments carried out on human test subjects during the height of the conflict. Known as "Unit 731", the program has never been officially acknowledged, and although its existence is well established, the American government's secretive dealings with Japanese scientists led to an eastern counterpart to the controversial "Operation Paperclip" that ensued with Nazi scientists after the war.

The Roswell Material: Oak Ridge & AARO Analyze 'Art's Parts' | MHP 07.17.24. Jul 17, 2024

In 1996, radio host Art Bell received a mysterious package containing small metallic samples and an incredible story. According to the anonymous author of the enclosed letter, the material fragments had been collected during the recovery of an advanced aerospace vehicle that crashed near Roswell, New Mexico in the summer of 1947.

Recently, the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) conducted a series of tests on the legendary material, whose unique physiochemical properties were claimed to enable "inertial mass reduction" (i.e., levitation or antigravity functionality), potentially due to the bismuth and magnesium layers acting as a terahertz waveguide. AARO Audit: UAP, Roswell, and the GAO | MHP 07.08.24. Jul 09, 2024

In the summer of 1995, following a congressional request, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigated documents related to the alleged crash of a "flying disc" near Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF), New Mexico in 1947. The result, which produced no "smoking gun" evidence of the purported crash, did reveal the mysterious destruction of records from the period, raising questions about who, and under what authority, the records might have been destroyed.

Now, new draft language has revealed a possible effort by present-day U.S. lawmakers to have the GAO conduct a similar audit of the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we examine the situation, and also look at the history of the GAO's involvement with U.S. government investigations into UAP.

Incident at Eglin Air Force Base | MHP 04.30.24. May 01, 2024

In January 2023, a U.S. military pilot reported an encounter with a group of unusual objects flying in a diamond formation over the Gulf of Mexico near Eglin Air Force Base. The incident, which eventually came to the attention of Florida Representative Matt Gaetz, became a matter of public record after Gaetz discussed it during a Congressional hearing in the summer of 2023.

Now, the DoD's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office has released its official report on the incident, claiming the case has now been resolved. However, there are several problems with AARO's analysis, and this week on The Micah Hanks Program, we dive into all of the issues that present rationale for why there may be unresolved questions about this alleged UAP incident.

Broken AARO: The 'Mellon Report', UAP, and Area 51 | MHP 04.15.24. Apr 16, 2024

On March 8, 2024, the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) released its historical report on UAP, shortly after briefing only a select group of journalists associated with seven mainstream media outlets, none of whom seemingly bothered to fact-check the error-ridden report. "The disappointing lack of critical press coverage of this important report prompted me to begin compiling the insights of UAP scholars and experts who have studied the history of UAP and the US government," wrote former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Christopher Mellon, in a recent lengthy rebuttal in response to the report's release.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we analyze Mellon's response to the AARO report, along with several intriguing revelations it contains, including the purported existence of a secretive UAP sightings program at Area 51 in the 1980s, how the CIA may have once considered whether UAP were extraterrestrial technologies, and much more.

The DoD's Dark UAP Secret | MHP 04.09.24. Apr 09, 2024

In the Autumn of 1957, a series of events unfolded that, for a time, left U.S. defense officials believing that the country was on the verge of war with the Soviet Union, as a pair of mysterious objects were tracked on radar systems making their way toward a series of high security facilities. Before action could be taken, the objects mysteriously vanished, and the story receded into the shadows of Cold War memories for decades, prior to a series of once-secret CIA files surfaced detailing the startling incident.

What do such circumstances say about the U.S. military's capabilities in terms of unidentified aerial phenomena? Based on a recent series of documents released through FOIA requests, decades later the U.S. is still struggling to reconcile the problem presented by UAP in our airspace. Darkness in the Desert: The Roswell Controversy | MHP 03.18.24. Mar 19, 2024

According to the findings of the DoD's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), the object that crash-landed near Roswell, New Mexico in the summer of 1947 was a balloon used during a once-secret covert operation called Project Mogul. These findings, of course, are the same conclusions the U.S. Air Force came to decades ago which were detailed in a pair of official reports that sought to definitively explain what, for many, had once been deemed Ufology's "smoking gun"... but could there still be more to the story?

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we look at developments that have occurred in the years since the Air Force's 1990s assessments, which were repeated in AARO's recent historical report on the U.S. government's historical involvement with UFOs. Then, we examine an unsettling series of alternative hypotheses about what might have occurred in the New Mexico desert so many decades ago, and whether they could offer a better explanation for one of history's most baffling cases.

The Sol Foundation UAP Initiative: NHI, Research, & Policy | MHP 02.12.24. Feb 12, 2024

On November 17-18, 2023, a symposium of academics, current and former government officials, and other leading voices in the study of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) convened for the inaugural Sol Foundation Initiative for UAP Research and Policy event in Palo Alto, California.

The event’s stated objectives were to “propose tangible government policies, programs of research, and investment strategies that can meet the challenge of the phenomena,” along with elevating the dialogue and generating new approaches toward resolving it. This week, joining us on The Micah Hanks Program are Dr. Garry Nolan and Dr. Peter Skafish, who discuss the Symposium, the release of new videos featuring lectures from the event, and the Sol Foundation's current efforts involving UAP research and policy.

Plasmas: UAP and Life-Like Luminous Phenomena | MHP 02.07.24. Feb 07, 2024

For centuries, reports of strange lights moving through the skies have been reported around the world. Beginning in the late 1940s, popular reports of sightings involving mysterious aerial lights and other phenomena have formed the basis of the modern UFO phenomenon. This week, we examine a new science paper that argues many modern UAP sightings could represent manifestations of plasmas in space and in the atmosphere, which at times have been known to take on very odd, even life-like qualities. Could some of these curious electrical events be connected to the origins of alien life, or even life on Earth? Catastrophic Disclosure: A Mitigation Plan | MHP 12.19.23. Dec 19, 2023

In 1938, an infamous broadcast based on H.G. Wells’ classic War of the Worlds allegedly incited confusion and panic as listeners questioned whether a real alien invasion might be underway. While modern analysis of news from the period casts doubt on some of the “panic” claims, the question remains as to what would really happen if the existence of extraterrestrial visitation were revealed under uncontrolled, chaotic means, in a “catastrophic disclosure” of an ET reality?

Recently, a retired U.S. Army Col. presented a proposal aimed at the prevention of what he termed ‘catastrophic disclosure,' involving the unplanned–and potentially chaotic–disclosure of UAP revelations potentially resulting from the actions of U.S. foreign adversaries. UAP Disclosure: The Empire Strikes Back | MHP 12.14.23. Dec 14, 2023

Earlier this year, a 64-page proposal to bring about the disclosure of information on what the U.S. government calls unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) was introduced by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD). However, in a potential blow to UAP disclosure efforts, recent pushback from House leadership appeared to be set to severely limit the bill, if not stop it altogether.

Now, as the empire strikes back, there is nonetheless hope on the horizon, as Senators Schumer and Rounds are speaking out about the bill passing, as well as the work that is yet to be done in future legislation geared toward UAP disclosure. The Minot Air Force Base UFO incident | MHP 11.05.23. Dec 06, 2023

The Fight For UFO Transparency: The UAP Disclosure Act Under Fire | MHP 11.28.23. Nov 28, 2023

There’s trouble brewing on Capitol Hill, as a group of top lawmakers are banding together to attempt to block the UAP Disclosure Act of 2023, potentially one of the most significant pieces of legislation related to government and UFO transparency in the history of the U.S., from ever becoming law.

Joining us to discuss the fight for UAP transparency is Daniel Sheehan, a constitutional and public interest lawyer, political activist and educator who has participated in several legal cases of public interest, including the Pentagon Papers and the Watergate Break-In case. Sheehan joins us, along with Kevin Wright, a public issue advocate, founder of Solve Advocacy, and Director of Public Relations for the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) to outline the current fight over the UAP Disclosure Amendment, and what it means for the effort to end decades of government stonewalling on UAP secrecy.

uNHIdden: The Non-Human Intelligence Initiative | MHP 11.14.23. Nov 14, 2023

Recent revelations by government whistleblowers are raising questions about whether the United States and other nations could have information about the existence of non-human intelligence, or NHI, which has been suppressed for decades. Although recent legislation in America are aimed at bringing such information, if it exists, into the light of day, nations like the United Kingdom appear to have shown no similar movement on the issue.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we are joined by an international panel composed of physicist and former UK civil servant John Priestland and Daniel Stubbings, Ph.D., both of whom are behind a new UK-based initiative called uNHIdden that aims to promote good mental health and reduce anxiety on the issue of non-human intelligence. Also joining the program is a return guest, Ted Roe, who is director of the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP) and the UAP Medical Coalition; our guests engage in an in-depth discussion about NHI, and how to move the discussion about it forward.

From Beyond: Uncanny Encounters with Eerie Visitors | MHP 10.31.23. Oct 31, 2023

A classified report detailing the Pentagon’s latest findings in its ongoing investigations into unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP, has been delivered to Congress, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) last week.

For the rest of us, an unclassified version of the 2023 Annual Report on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena was made available on the website of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), but to limited fanfare from UFO advocates online. Witnessed: The Case of the White Pine Triangle | MHP 09.25.23. Sep 26, 2023

Hunt for the Mystery Spheres: AARO and Metallic Spherical UAP | MHP 091123 Sep 12, 2023

Crashes, Casualties, and Cover-Ups: Assessing the UAP Whistleblower Claims | MHP 07.25.23. Jul 25, 2023

As the latest round of Congressional hearings on UAP approaches, many questions remain about the claims of whistleblower David Grusch, and the information he says he was provided by intelligence officials about crashed vehicles of non-human origin, the bodies of UAP pilots, and even human casualties associated with UAP incidents.

Italy's Fascist UFO Files: Crashes, Coverups, and the RS/33 Cabinet | MHP 07.04.23. Jul 05, 2023

In 1996, a strange series of documents were delivered to several Italian media outlets and UFO researchers, purporting to reveal the existence of a secretive investigative committee that looked into sightings of unconventional aerial vehicles during the 1930s and 40s. Called RS/33 Cabinet, the alleged UFO study group was purportedly led by Guglielmo Marconi under the direction of Italy's fascist regime under Benito Mussolini.

Recently, the claims involving an alleged UFO crash that occurred in 1933 near Magenta, Italy, have received renewed scrutiny after they were cited amidst claims of a UAP coverup by whistleblower David Grusch. This week, we examine the strange history of Italy's Fascist UFO files and their relationship to the modern UFO crash wreckage retrieval debate on The Micah Hanks Program.

Giant UFOs on Radar: UAP, Whistleblowers, and the Stephenville Enigma | MHP 06.26.23. Jun 27, 2023

In 2008, one or more massive unidentified flying objects were observed moving erratically through the evening skies over Stephenville, Texas. Among the many witnesses were several law enforcement officers who said they observed the giant UFOs, although it was the radar data later obtained from the FAA that seemingly proved there had been such objects in the area, one which flew over the ranch home of then-President George W. Bush.

Throughout the early years of the Cold War, recurrent appearances of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) were documented near several radioactive materials production plants, atomic weapons assembly facilities, and atomic weapons stockpile sites in the United States. What were the objects that were seen, and what was the intention of their operators?

Larry Hancock a graduate of the University of New Mexico and a veteran who served in the United States Air Force, is the lead author of a new paper published by the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies titled “UAP Pattern Recognition Study: 1945-1975 US Military Atomic Warfare Complex.” Larry joins us to discuss the background that led to this study of UAP historical patterns, and what it means with relation to nuclear weapons sites on The Micah Hanks Program.

Craft Retrievals of Non-Human Origin | MHP 06.05.23. Jun 06, 2023

Is the United States in possession of anomalous craft of non-human origin? Has this information been illegally kept from Congress? These are among the questions raised by a bombshell story published in The Debrief by Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal who, in 2017, reframed the public debate about unidentified aerial phenomena in an article published in The New York Times. Now, a former intelligence official, David Charles Grusch, has come forward and filed a complaint with the Intelligence Community Inspector General alleging that knowledge of such retrievals of non-human craft has been illegally kept from Congress.

On the Trail of the Skinwalker: Colm Kelleher Ph.D. on the AAWSAP Investigations | MHP 05.23.23. May 23, 2023

Between 2008 and 2010, what is arguably one of the most atypical government investigations into the unexplained was carried out by employees with Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) out of Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of a Defense Intelligence Agency effort known as the Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Applications Program, or AAWSAP.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we examine the controversial DIA program with Colm Kelleher, Ph.D., a biochemist who between 1996-2004 led the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS) team on Skinwalker Ranch, and in 2008 became deputy administrator of BAASS where he led the day-to-day operations in executing the AAWSAP contract with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The Secret Life of Tom Slick: The CIA and the Search for the Yeti | MHP 04.11.23. Apr 11, 2023

In 1957, a wealthy Texas philanthropist and oil tycoon named Tom Slick Jr. was making headlines across the nation. Slick, who had already poured much of his family fortune into the establishment of foundations aimed at exploring various areas of the sciences, was now getting international attention for his plans to launch an expedition in search of a modern mystery: the famous Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas.

However, questions have lingered over whether there could have been more to the purpose of Slick's Yeti-hunting adventure than the public had known... and this week on The Micah Hanks Program, we look at Slick's possible connections to the U.S. intelligence community, and whether the CIA had been involved in espionage with help from the man who, at the time, had become America's most-famous monster hunter.

Law Enforcement Encounters with UAP | MHP 03.21.23 Mar 21, 2023

Throughout the mid-1970s, several incidents occurred throughout the United States involving law enforcement encounters with UAP. Involving multiple witnesses to the aerial phenomena in question, some of the incidents also resulted in real-time recordings of police dispatch calls featuring descriptions of the objects police officers sighted.

The Hunt for an Invisible Killer: Colorado's Mystery Cattle Deaths | MHP 03.14.23. Mar 14, 2023

In October 2022, dozens of cattle were found dead under mysterious circumstances on U.S. Forest Service property along Colorado's Western Slope. Although initially believed to have involved wolf depredation, as officials closed the investigation earlier this year, there was no evidence to support the presence of any kind of predator, and the cause of the strange deaths remains unknown.

This week, in the aftermath of the mysterious spate of cattle deaths that baffled ranchers in Colorado last year, we present the results of an investigation based on official documents and interviews with investigators who worked to track down an unknown, "invisible" livestock killer on this week's episode of The Micah Hanks Program.
