    #089: All About You - Q&A - Chemistry & Boundaries - Solo Episode May 14, 2020
    Show notes

This week in a special episode I wanted to discuss a few issues that live below the surface of our relationships and lives. First, why do we only have “crazy chemistry” with people that aren’t good for us? And why, when we start setting boundaries do we sometimes start to lose that “spark” we once felt? We go deeper in this by discussing a question about how to end a trauma bond, if you haven’t heard about trauma bonding then this question is for you. We also discuss how to begin to set healthy boundaries in a relationship where there is a lack of trust or lack of emotional safety. And finally, the difficult question of whether to stay or go. These are some of the most important questions that so many of us struggle with, join me! ~ Discover Can we feel love if we feel whole and don't need anyone? Why do we find ourselves less attractive to our partners once we've done the work? Choosing ourselves and holding space for something new Men who stand up and what it means to women How to end a trauma bond Why are we obsessed with people who need to be fixed? Enabling and discovering the reward in patterns we choose Why we shrink in our relationships How do we know to stay or go?

#088: Our Problems are the Same with Mark Manson May 11, 2020
    Show notes

I am so excited to bring a double dose of Mark this week as I welcome best selling author Mark Manson. Mark Manson has been an influential figure in my life and I’m sure many of you are also followers of his work — I mean who hasn’t read his book “The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck”? Mark and I jam on some common challenges we both saw in our relationship coaching work. We also reflect on the idea of “doing the work” and how this can really become a sticking point for people in opening up to change. So often, the challenges we face and the things that we get stuck on are the same. We are all living different experiences, but so many of our biggest problems are the same. If you haven't already seen his work you will want to check it out https://markmanson.net/

#087: Can You Hold Space? - Solo Episode May 04, 2020
    Show notes

This episode is especially vulnerable for me. I recognize that we are all coping with an incredibly difficult time in different ways right now. There is so much fear, uncertainty and distress that makes compassion and connection so much more difficult. Today I ask if you can hold space too? Holding space does not mean we must agree or arrive at a consensus, it means we still have compassion even when we feel differently than one another. So I ask not how are we different, but how we are similar? ~ Discover: When you're open to the way you see the world, you're free Can you hold space for other people's beliefs? What if you just stayed open? Why we should agree to the right to see things differently How to create harmony within yourself during challenging times What life is here to teach us

#084: Claim Your Voice - Solo Episode Apr 13, 2020
    Show notes

When we are facing disconnection in our relationships, we often perceive major barriers blocking us from communicating. Often, we preempt the other person's negative response. We assume the other person is unable or unwilling to hear us, and as a result, we become defensive, withdrawn or over-express ourselves. What if instead, we trusted that other people have the capacity to really listen? What if we communicated our needs without preempting their response? What if we claimed our voice and used it regardless of anyone else’s ability to show up. What if we showed up for ourselves first? ~ Discover: How to know when you have unhealthy programs running What beliefs are still lingering that keep you in your old story? What is the most important quality in relationship? Why we need to stop subcontracting our healing The victory is always in the process not the outcome Speaking your truth, having courage, and being everything you want

#080: The Edge Of Uncertainty - Solo Episode Mar 27, 2020
    Show notes

“Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans,” John Lennon’s famous lyrics are so apt for the uncertainty we are facing in the world. So much of what we thought, planned, or hoped for has been quashed by the reality that nothing is ever truly certain. This epidemic has brought up so many fears, anxieties and responses. I want this episode to explore our humanness but also acknowledge that jumping into spiritualizing can be a bypass of the uncomfortable reality that this pandemic is doing real harm to so many people. While we are both physically distanced and living with this uncertainty, our community and our connections are so important. I hope this episode leaves you feeling more connected. ~ Discover: Why increasing our tolerance for uncertainty is part of our expansion and growth When we are stripped of everything, what matters most? Where else do we run from discomfort? The domino effect of disconnection and control The 5 most common regrets The greatest gift of facing death You never lose love
