MBP 88. What Motivates You? - Mark Terrell Dec 19, 2018
    Show notes

Mark Terrell is the founder and owner of 1st Class Coaching Solutions. After running a successful family business for over 25 years, Mark now helps owner manage and family businesses to make the most of their strengths through greater understanding and co-operation. Key Takeaways:

    • It doesn’t matter how good somebody is at what they’re doing, if they’re not motivated, it’s pointless.
    • Motivation means motive and action; the stronger the motive, the more likely we are to take action.. if we have little motive, we are not likely to take actions.
    • There’s no good or bad motivations; it’s whether in context those motivations are helping you, whether you can do something about them because you can’t change what motivates you.

    MBP 86. The Man Whisperer - Kenny Mammarella D'Cruz Dec 12, 2018
Show notes Kenny Mammarella-D'Cruz is a Personal & Professional Development Consultant. 'Newsweek' called me "The Man Whisperer" in their book 'The Descent of Man: Investigating male suicide'. The 'Daily Express' called me “Consultant, coach, and guru of all things men”. Kenny's passion is turning 'lost boys' in survival mode into self-aware, self-respecting men living their mission in a healthy creative life. He does this in the media, in men's groups, in private sessions and in MenFacilitate trainings, where he pass his tools on for others to take into their own businesses and lives. Key Takeaways: The difference between a boy and a man is that boys compete and need to dominate while men can collaborate. Connect with someone else to help change your perspective. It's the ones who are present and take part in life that are important. You can be whoever you want to be. Signs and temptations can be seen rather than just danger attracting. MBP 84. The Listener - Colin Smith Dec 05, 2018
Show notes Colin Smith is known as the Listener. He inspires individuals and companies to improve their active listening, thinking, and relationships. Colin's primary contribution is his innate ability to deeply listen to people and through holding that space, enabling people to open up and share their concerns, feelings, ideas, etc. Secondly, his varied background, view of the world, and his inquisitive and curious mind, enables him to share unusual, thought provoking, yet grounded observations and alternative approaches to business, people, systems and change. Thirdly, to take thinking and ideas further and to make things happen, he is able to introduce his trusted network of entrepreneurs, consultants, thought leaders, free thinkers, coaches and change makers. Key Takeaways: The opportunity to understand and appreciate the other is really helpful. If you listen to them, they will listen to you. The more you're present, the better things will be and the better relationships would be. The best leaders are those who listen. If you intend to do something more, then there's a good chance you're gonna get closer to doing it better. Often people just want to be heard to know that someone's there.
