#100 All the small things matter & I love you! Jan 27, 2021
    Show notes

Hey everyone, a hundred episodes! Wow. This feels really special and I am so grateful for your support. This is a celebratory episode, of course, but I also have a lot of updates to share. Listen in if you wanna hear about:

    • How I broke my leg on NYE and what I am learning about healing & recovery
    • The movement for trauma training I'll do next month
    • My art practice and what printmaking magic you can expect in 2021
    • Why I chose simplicity and presence as my words for the year and how I am working with them
    • How I am gathering together all my past Patreon offerings into one community space on Mighty Networks that you can join
    • What's next for the podcast

Honestly my key takeaway is that all the small things matter. All the journaling and looking out of the window and reading and dreaming, it all meant something and it all will continue to mean something across time and space and through whatever we have yet to go through. So thank you for coming along! Love, Yarrow

    #99 Fuck new year's resolutions Dec 31, 2020
    Show notes

Hey everyone, here we are, we made it to the very end of 2020! I wanted to record this episode to say thank you and also to give anyone who needs it permission to not make new year's eve resolutions. We've done enough by just making it through this year without abandoning ourselves and we deserve a gift to celebrate that instead of another to do. Of course if you have a resolution that feels good I am happy for you! But if you are celebrating alone today too and want to hear some thoughts about nice rituals and getting cozy then I hope this episode will feel nice to listen to!

    Much love, Yarrow

#98 Letting it be enough Dec 17, 2020
    Show notes

Hiii! First of all, thank you so so much for all your love, encouragement and support this year. I've been feeling it and it means the world to me. In this last episode of 2020 I've been reflecting on what it means to let things be enough, at least for now. Going into the winter break I want to let go of all the shoulds and could haves and just allow myself to rest and digest. I hope you'll do the same! Listen in for some updates and plans for 2021 as well as some thoughts on 2020 and being good enough. Love, Yarrow

#97 Transformative writing with Sam Wallen Nov 27, 2020
    Show notes

Hey loved listeners, I seem to be in a good podcasting flow at the moment and am happy to bring another interview with the wonderful Sam Wallen your way. Writing has been so precious to me this year, so I am glad for any chance to talk about the practice and magic of putting words to paper. Without further ado here is what we talked about:

    • Exploring what really wants to be written and telling the truth
    • Writing as a restorative practice
    • The importance of having our work received by the world
    • How stories change our realities and shape the future

Samantha Wallen is a writer, writing coach, burgeoning deep ecologist, and poet at heart. She offers transformative writing workshops, group and private coaching programs, and retreats for writers, want-to-be writers, and non-writers alike so they can discover their voice, clarify the deep value, purpose, and focus of their writing, and develop structures for committing to a sustainable and nourishing writing life and practice. Sam’s mission is to restore the soul, one word at a time. Her work centers around what she calls, “Restorative Writing” and the “Restorative Writing Cycle.” Restorative Writing is writing that seeks to connect to the deeper meaning of life in order to revive and restore our relationship to the precious, invisible essence at the heart of the living world. It's writing that longs to be witnessed and known by others, and writing that uses words as a pathway to reach what lives beyond language so that we might reach others and bring deeper connection to, and understanding of, what it means to be human in these strange and unprecedented times. It’s writing that seeks to touch, express, and restore our souls, and the soul of our world. #96 Dealing with lockdown: I am just having a reallyyy long pyjama party by myself Nov 12, 2020
    Show notes

Hey sweet listeners, thank you so much for your kind feedback on my past few solo episodes. I always thought interviews are where it's at, but this year I have actually really enjoyed listening to people ramble by themselves, so I thought I would do more of that too. In this episode I'm talking about how I am thinking of this time as a really long pyjama party by myself with lots of YA books, crafting, teenage feelings and Dawson's Creek, but also a healthy dose of adult cynicism. There are also some thoughts on what I actually want to invite back into my life when the pandemic is over and how I prepare to gently socially re-emerge when it's time. Here is more info about the creative space sessions I mentioned: https://www.yarrowmagdalena.com/weekly-creative-space-sessions/ As always thank you for listening

#95 Healing the witch wound with Mimi Young Nov 05, 2020
    Show notes

Hey friends, I thought it might be nice to step away from the news for a moment in election week to reorient myself to something I really love - having honest conversations with magical people. Speaking to Mimi Young was really beautiful and I hope this conversation will bring some inspiration and comfort your way. Here is some of what we talked about:

    • Connecting to Spirit
    • Moving through this year with grounding and integrity
    • Exploring what solitude really means
    • Nurturing ancestral connections
    • Healing the witch wound

Mimi Young is a shamanic witch and founder of Ceremonie (@shopceremonie), an esoteric brand focusing on in-person and online core shamanic and occult education, Remote Shamanic Readings, and plant potions for skin and aura. Mimi works with a blend of modalities including core shamanism, plant spirit healing, chao magick, and Chinese esoterics, with a focus on healing through shadows, dream work, divination, ancestral connection, and psychic development. She is also a neurofeedback practitioner (@openmindsperformance), where she supports others in accessing their peak via neurological resilience. It's this intersection of ancient and frontier that she finds most fascinating and effective for human expansion. Though possessing psychic gifts her whole life, Mimi stepped into this line of work “by accident” while on bedrest for 5 months during her second child’s pregnancy. Having an alinear background in design, education, and clean tech, she sees her background as a way to relate, to be curious together, and to live our most aligned selves.
