#113 Navigating the pandemic as a survivor Jul 14, 2021
    Show notes

Hey beloved listeners, it is time for one of my slightly rambly solo episodes full of feelings and reflections! This time I am sharing some thoughts about navigating the pandemic with its touch starvation, loneliness, endless space to think and wild dreams as a survivor. There is nothing particularly graphic in here, fyi. I talk about my experience in hospital, reengaging with the world, what I am wishing for in our future, what beautiful aspects I want to hold on to , accessibility and how I came to a more empowered place of reframing some experiences I've had. Some of this is really positive and hopeful, some of it is challenging, all of it is complex I guess. Enjoy!

    Show notes

Hey everyone, I'm excited to send this conversation with Darcy Leigh your way! I love Darcy's zines and I hope that all the imaginary permissions slips we've handed out to ourselves in this episode will make you feel excited to DIY more things too. Here is what we talked about:

    • How the butch archive came to be

Darcy Leigh co-runs @easterroadpress, an insurrectionary transfeminist press based in Scotland. Themes from her work include fatness, transness, tits, ambivalence, Jewishness and psychiatry. She lives half in Edinburgh, half in Brighton (it’s complicated), and appreciates pigeons, innovative zine folds and dark truths. When not in queer zine land, Darcy works in the ivory tower and is also committed to its destruction (aka, is a Lecturer in Law who researches the ongoing history of the British Empire).
