There is much to be said of Augustus Toplady’s hymns. He wrote with such theological depth that many claimed they were difficult to sing. His hymns were a “converting ordinance to some, a recovering ordinance to others, and a comforting ordinance to all, and one of the most divine means of communion with God”
Join us today as we sing one of his most beloved and famous hymns, Rock of Ages.

Today's hymn is a paraphrase of Psalm 103 which calls us to remember the Lord's love and grace to us! He made His ways known to Moses, yet His ways have been revealed to us through His Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ!

When it comes to God, there is no one that can rival Him. He stands alone in the eternal Hall of Fame.
He is the Most High, subject to none, and influenced by none. He alone is the Sovereign One.
Today we sing of His Sovereignty, with help of our friend and Godfather of English Hymnody, Isaac Watts.
Welcome to a special Sunday edition of the Lunch Break Hymn Sing, where we open up the fridge and pull out a second helping of some of our favorite past episodes.

During today's lunch break, we will be singing another one of Watts hymns titled "Have You Not Known, Have You Not Heard" and we will be discussing the Lord's unchanging character as we continue our series on the attributes of God.

With every second that passes, our present becomes the past. In the blink of an eye we move past where we are, and where we are becomes where we have been. We are bound by time, yet God, in His infinite nature, stands ever-present, outside of time and space.
Join us today as we sing one of Isaac Watts hymns, "Great God, How Infinite Art Thou!" We will use this beautifully written hymn, which is based on Psalm 102, to learn about one of God's attributes, His Infinity.

Etched in each stanza of the hymn we will be singing today is the reminder of the miracle that took place when heaven meets earth, and the One who holds all things together laid aside His glory, putting on our flesh and together with a soul like our own began to walk that path that would lead Him to the Cross.
Join us on this final episode in our Advent series where we sing about the baby in the manger who grew up to be the man on the cross! Veiled in flesh, the God-head see, Hail, the incarnate Deity!
