    July 15, 2019 - TCU Horned Frogs Preview Jul 16, 2019
    Show notes

As the season creeps closer and closer, we move onto our next preview and get insights on the TCU Horned Frogs from one of our favorite guests, Melissa Triebwasser of Frogs of War. We dive in deep on the TCU quarterback situation, what the offense will look like with an experienced and talented line, and just how do you replace nearly an entire defensive line? We also take discuss who we feel was snubbed from the Big 12 preseason honors (spoiler: Collin Johnson is brought up early and often) and Bang the Drum on the Texas Longhorns' many rivals. July 9, 2019 - Kansas Preview and Recruiting Update Jul 09, 2019
    Show notes

We are just a few short weeks away from the football season, with the new fall roster released and the Texas Longhorns gearing up for Big 12 Media Days. Texas is sending a large contingent to Dallas to represent the school, including Sam Ehlinger, Collin Johnson and Brandon Jones. While they preview the season, we continue through our season previews with Andy Mitts of Rock Chalk Talk, who joins us to give some insight into the 2019 Kansas football team. Running back Pooka Williams returns to a deep backfield following a one-game suspension, while the Jayhawks defense looks to replace one of the best players in school history. What will first-year head coach Les Miles do to take the Jayhawks to national prominence? We also bring you the latest in recruiting, as we welcome in Joe Hamilton, contributor at Burnt Orange Nation, to give some insight into the 2020 and 2021 recruiting efforts from Tom Herman and his staff. July 2, 2019 - Oklahoma Sooners Preview Jul 02, 2019
    Show notes

It's the Red River Showdown week, at least for the podcast, so we brought on Allen Kenney (@BlatantHomerism) from Crimson and Cream Machine to give some insight into the 2019 Oklahoma Sooners. After splitting the 2018 season with the Texas Longhorns, the Sooners need to replace yet another Heisman Trophy quarterback and will turn to Jalen Hurts to fill the role. The Alabama Crimson Tide transfer has a different skill set than his predecessors, so what will the offense look like as the Sooners potentially retool? The other big question is the Oklahoma defense, looking to improve on a season that left them looking up at most of the country statistically. New defensive coordinator Alex Grinch will be dialing up the defense but returns nine from a group that ranked No, 130 in the nation in pass defense. Will Grinch be able to turn it around quickly or will the Sooners experience some growing pains on the defense? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. June 25, 2019 - West Virginia Mountaineers Preview Jun 25, 2019
    Show notes

The 2019 schedule previews continue and to take a look at the West Virginia Mountaineers we welcome in Matt Kirchner from The Smoking Musket to give us an insiders look at what to expect. The Mountaineers face a ton of turnover, including the need to replace both head coach Dana Holgorsen and quarterback Will Grier. So what does the new regime bring to the table for the Mountaineers and who will be there in order to run the new systems in 2019? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. June 18, 2019 - Oklahoma State Preview Jun 18, 2019
    Show notes

We're moving into conference play and we start our conference previews with the Oklahoma State Cowboys. We welcome in Phillip Slavin of Cowboys Ride For Free to give us some insight into the 2019 Cowboys. Kyle and Gerald also look at the Texas Longhorns' linebackers as they continue to move through position previews. Jeffrey McCulloch, Ayodele Adeoye and Joseph Ossai look to lead the charge, but who will back them up? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. June 11, 2019 - Rice Preview and Athletic Season Wrap Up Jun 11, 2019
    Show notes

We continue our 2019 schedule preview by taking a look at the Rice Owls. Rice had a disappointing season last year, finishing 2-8 in their first year under a new head coach. With a graduate transfer quarterback and a ton of talent returning to the offense, what are fair expectations for the Owls moving forward? With the conclusion of the 2019 outdoor track and field championships, the Longhorns conclude an impressive 2018-19 athletic year. We take a look back at all of the major accomplishments for the year and reflect on several special seasons. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. June 4, 2019 - Ja'Quinden Jackson Commitment and LSU Preview Jun 04, 2019
    Show notes

The #cloUT2020 class got a major boost Monday evening as Duncanville quarterback Ja'Quinden Jackson committed to the Texas Longhorns. The 6-foot-2, 219-pound star for the Panthers becomes the highest-ranked player in the 2020 class and potentially adds another talented signal caller in that room. Where does Jackson fit in the grand scheme of Longhorn quarterbacks and what impact does this have on DFW recruiting? Now that the Bru McCoy transfer back to the USC Trojans is official, we wanted to take a look at it from the USC angle. Dina Colunga of Conquest Chronicles answered our questions about the impact McCoy’s move had on the USC program. We continue our 2019 schedule preview with the LSU Tigers and welcome in Billy Gomila, managing editor of And the Valley Shook to give us an insider's view of LSU. After a January filled with drama, Bru McCoy landed with the Texas Longhorns, but reports began to surface that the talented receiver wanted to return to USC. McCoy spent the spring practicing with Texas but was not yet approved to play in 2019. What does the move mean for the University of Texas and the future of the NCAA's transfer policy? We also welcome in Tanner Spearman of Underdog Dynasty to kick off our season previews with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. LA Tech returns several key starters but lost top defender Jaylon Ferguson to the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL Draft. What will the Bulldogs bring to the table when they travel to Austin for the season opener? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook.
