    October 17, 2019 - Kansas Jayhawks Preview Oct 17, 2019
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns are looking to get back on track Saturday as they honor the 1969 National Championship team when they take on the Kansas Jayhawks at home. Texas struggled on both sides of the ball against the Oklahoma Sooners, but still managed to keep things close with a shot to recover an onside kick at the end. There is definitely room for improvement and hopefully Texas can get things figured out against the Jayhawks. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. October 15, 2018 - OU Recap Oct 16, 2019
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns fell behind early against the Oklahoma Sooners and were never able to complete the comeback, falling 34-27 in Dallas to send the Golden Hat to Norman. Offensively, Sam Ehlinger struggled, turning in his first performance this season without a passing touchdown, but contributing one on the ground. Roschon Johnson turned in another fine performance, rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown, trying to spark the offense late. Defensive coordinator Todd Orlando looked out-matched, as the injuries continue to pile up for his unit while Texas marches through the Big 12. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. October 10, 2019 - Oklahoma Preview Oct 10, 2019
    Show notes

The week has been circled on the calendar since the Big 12 Championship game a year ago and now the matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners is finally here. Oklahoma is an offensive juggernaut once again, helmed by Alabama Crimson Tide transfer Jalen Hurts. However, the question once again how well the Sooners defense can hold up against Sam Ehlinger and the Texas Longhorns' offense. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. October 8, 2019 - West Virginia Recap Oct 08, 2019
    Show notes

In spite of a slow start, the Texas Longhorns played well Saturday and came away with a win over the West West Virginia Mountaineers. Sam Ehlinger did what Sam Ehlinger does, turning in a four-touchdown performance, while Roschon Johnson finished the game with 21 carries for 121 yards. Defensively, Texas was able to turn Austin Kendall over four times, including a two-interception performance from D'Shawn Jamison. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. October 3, 2019 - West Virginia Preview Oct 03, 2019
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns head to Morgantown for their first true road game of the year, taking on the West Virginia Mountaineers hoping to right one of the wrongs from the 2018 season. WVU has struggled a bit on both sides of the ball, and with many Texas players still on the mend, it may serve as an opportunity to get some players up to speed, while also allowing for fine-tuning of position groups. B.J. Foster returns from injury, giving Texas yet another defender to add to the mix in the secondary, while Sam Ehlinger works to break in more receivers and spread the ball around. The Texas Longhorns took a week off on the field, so while the coaches hit the recruiting trail, we thought we would do the same and take a look at the 2020 class. To help, we brought along recruiting writer Daniel Seahorn to break down the Troy Omeire flip and who's left for the 2020 class before taking a quick peek at 2021. September 26, 2019 - The Rest of 2019 Sep 26, 2019
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns are 3-1 during their bye week and have a long eight-week stretch of Big 12 play ahead of them. With one-third of the season behind them, we have some idea of what the Longhorns could look like for the rest of the year, so what does that look like? How special can Sam Ehlinger's season be? Can Devin Duvernay keep a hot season alive? Who will lead the defense as Texas closes the year? We debut a new segment to answer these questions and more. Show notes

The Texas Longhorns snapped a nearly 10-year home losing streak to the Oklahoma State Cowboys with a 36-30 win to start conference play 1-0 heading into the bye week. Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger continued his hot year while running back Keaontay Ingram set career highs in both carries and rushing yardage. Defensively, Texas took some hits on the field but managed to hold the nation's leading receiver and rusher well below their previous average. What does it mean to the defense that they managed such a feat against a high-powered offense like Oklahoma State? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. The conference opener is finally here and the Texas Longhorns may have their hands full as they welcome the Oklahoma State Cowboys to Austin, Tx Saturday. Oklahoma State boasts the nation’s top receiver in Tylan Wallace, as well as the nation’s top rusher in Chuba Hubbard, but the Cowboys have yet to face a team with the Longhorns level of talent. Can Texas match what is likely to be a potent offensive output from the Cowboys, while limiting what Oklahoma State does when their offense is on the field? September 17, 2019 - Rice Recap Sep 17, 2019
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns handled their business against the Rice Owls, pulling their starters with a 38-0 lead, finishing with a 48-13 lead to close out non-conference play. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger was the star of the show, passing Vince Young in two offensive categories, while hitting season-opening marks only seen by Colt McCoy. Running backs Keaontay Ingram and Roschon Johnson seemed to find their stride as well, while several different Longhorns contributed on offense. Defensively, Texas seemed to figure a few things out, especially up front, with redshirt freshman Keondre Coburn notching his first sack, while junior college transfer Juwan Mitchell led the team in tackles. There were still a few miscues in the secondary, but Texas looked better in pass defense. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook.
