Gen Con Live 2019! Aug 13, 2019

Show notes

We had a very fun Gen Con this year!

Show Notes:

Run Time: 1:28:49

We talk about all manner of things, enjoy a very different musical guest than ever before, and are entirely serious the entire time! (One of those things might not be true. Hard to say.)

And here's a Trevor's eye view of the room before we started while people were still coming in.

There were a lot of people this year! Good thing Gen Con gave us a bigger room than ever before. Let's pack even more in next year!

Between now and then, join us next week on our Patreon for a live recording of this month's Editor's Note!

Microsode #2, 2019 Aug 06, 2019

Show notes

We're at it again - posting something when we said we wouldn't. What rapscallions. You can't take us anywhere.

Show Notes:

Run Time: 8:13

This is the second week of our two week Gen Con hiatus, and yet, we just couldn't NOT post SOMETHING, right?

Last week was Gen Con, as we lie about on the air.

For this Microsode, we answer the NEWEST, the FRESHEST, the RIGHT OFF THE PRESSES letter - one sent in mere hours before we recorded! Amazing. So fresh and so clean clean.

For those of you who couldn't be at Gen Con, next week's episode is a Trevor-edited recording of our Gen Con Live Episode! We hope it was a great success - at the time of this writing, we're still several days away from it, but we look forward to it with great anticipation.

For those of you on The Letters Page Patreon, we hope you'll join us on Friday, August 16th at 11 AM (Central Time) for our live recording of this month's Editor's Note! Those are always a good time. See you then! Or, rather, you'll see us then. You know what we mean.

Microsode #1, 2019 Jul 30, 2019

Show notes

You thought we weren't doing an episode this week, didn't you?

Well, guess what... you're right!

And yet, what's this?!?!

Show Notes:

Run Time: 6:58

Today is the first Tuesday of our two week of Gen Con hiatus. In today's Microsode, we answer the oldest question on the books! It's from a long-forgotten time - the distant and most ancient past. Wow!

We look forward to seeing so many of you at Gen Con! Come say hi!

As always, thank you for your continuing listenership and support, especially those of you subscribed to The Letters Page Patreon!

Episode #117 - Writers' Room: Freedom Four #88 Jul 23, 2019

Show notes

Our first ever Writers' Room episode! We're going to make a story together!

Show notes:

Run Time: 1:39:55

Only a couple minutes in, we claim we're getting right down to work... and then we goof around talking about cuts of steak or something.

But then! We tell you what we're talking about, who's in the issue, and build the entire story of that issue out on the air!

After a LOT of work, we take a fun assortment of questions, starting around the 1 hour and 15 minute mark.

No episode next week or the week after, due to Gen Con. We hope to see as many of you there as possible!

Editor's Note #32 Jul 16, 2019

Show notes

Show Notes:

Run Time: 1:11:01

At the start of the show, we talk a bit of shop about possibilities for new formats of episodes. At the time of recording, the votes weren't in yet for next month's episodes, but there are now! So:

Upcoming schedule:

Tuesday, August 6th: No Episode (Because Gen Con!)
Tuesday, August 13th: Gen Con Live 2019!
Tuesday, August 20th: Editor's Note #33
Tuesday, August 27th: Episode #118 - All About SCRPG

And here's our recording schedule!

Around the 7 minute mark, we start in on your questions on so many topics, such as:

Multiple OblivAeon-related questions!
Void Guard
Magic
Sentinels of the Multiverse
And that's not all!

Thanks to all of you listeners, to our Patreon supporters, and to our families, who never believed we could make any of this a thing but we did it anyway. Hah!
