SEASON 5 PREMIER! The party, in the aftermath of the Season 4 finale, may or may not be alive. If they are alive, they're probably figuring out what they're going to do next, how they're going to escape the Arcanium, and what their best option for ridding the world of Flik's siblings is. Furthermore, Flik will probably have a lot of feelings after everything that happened with his family and his god. How will Flik react to suddenly being without the guiding figure in his life for the first time since he fled from his family? Will his adopted sisters be able to console him in his moment of need? And just how much irrelevant banter will we make you put up with after not hearing us for a few weeks? Find out on this week's episode of The Last Refuge.

Show notes

Part 1 of our Second Anniversary Live Event! The party settles in to consecrate the temple. Flik goes into a trance to perform the ritual itself while the aasimar sisters stand watch to be sure he isn't interrupted. Of course, it's D&D, so nothing goes quite as planned. What unexpected meeting will Flik have while performing the consecration? What unexpected meeting will the aasimar sisters have while they keep watch? And what will all these unexpected meetings lead to? Find out on this week's episode of The Last Refuge!

Show notes

The party continues their assault on their guards, now with the help of an uncharmed Byzdera. Even if they do manage to take out their jailers without alerting Rhythmala, they will still have to find a way to sneak through her chambers and into the staircase room beyond. How will our adventurers remain unnoticed in a room full of hostile entities? How quickly will their plan fall apart? And which one of them is going to end up making a noble sacrifice to make sure the rest of them get the hell off of this floor? Find out on this week's episode of The Last Refuge.

100 - I Just Want My Brain Back Jun 19, 2019

Show notes

OUR 100TH EPISODE! The party must come up with a plan to escape Rhythmala's clutches now that she has succeeded in charming Byzdera. Ever worried about their hit points, they ask for a long rest while they "prepare to assault Gard," by which they obviously mean "plan their escape." Will Rhythmala allow them time alone in which to plot? Will they come up with a good enough plan to make it out of level 3? And will Byzdera ever forgive DM Jazzy Hands for mind controlling her character AGAIN? Find out on this week's 100TH EPISODE of The Last Refuge.

099 - The Double Eye Stab Jun 12, 2019

Show notes

The party continues to fight their way down Rhythmala's hallway, slaying zombies, skeletons, and weird floating orbs of magical light. Bria, wanting nothing more than to get the hell out of the Arcanium, races ahead and finds herself face to face with Rythmala much sooner than she expected. How will Rhythmala react to our adventurers' presence? Will she strike a deal with them like they hope? Or will she simply charm them all and give us all flashbacks to Silfssn? Show notes

The party continues to fight their way down the hallway on the third level of the Arcanium toward Rhythmala. Their fears of enchantment magic are borne out as they proceed, and friend turns against friend to painful and hilarious results. Who's gonna get mind controlled this time? Who will attack whom? And is the answer Byzdera because it's always Byzdera? Find out on this week's episode of The Last Refuge.

097 - Bria is Afraid of the Dark May 29, 2019

Show notes

The party enters the third level of the temple and has a run in with one of the figures from the journal entries they found above. They're presented with two choices to go forward and, true to form for our adventurers, they take quite a while to make a decision. Who will the party meet on this floor? What choice will be given to them? And which of them will finally just say screw it and barrel ahead, making the choice for the rest of them? Find out on this week's episode of The Last Refuge.
