The Abuse, Torture And Murder of 8-Year-Old Gabriel Fernandez Carried Out By His Mother Pearl Fernandez And Her Boyfriend Isauro Aguirre
**KD IS NO LONGER WITH ORBITAL JIGSAW OR BLUBRRY**
WARNING: This episode contains some details involving child abuse and neglect and may be disturbing to some listeners. Listener discretion is strongly advised.
On February 26, 2020, Netflix released a documentary entitled “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez” where we heard the harrowing tale of an 8 year old who was beaten and batter to death by his mother Pearl Fernandez and her boyfriend Isauro Aguirre in May of 2013, despite numerous reports made to the Department of Children and Family Services that it was strongly suspected Gabriel was being severely abused by his caregivers. We are not going to go over all the details of what happened to Gabriel, but rather, why. Why was he overlooked time and time again, and repeated left in the care of his mother and her boyfriend, when it was evident he was suffering an incredible amount of physical abuse? This is an examination of how Gabriel Fernandez was failed by the system meant to protect him.

The Tragic Story Of The 2001 Murder Of Andrew Bagby Followed By The 2003 Murder-Suicide Of Andrew's 13 Month Old Zachary Turner And His Mother Shirley Turner [Part 6]
**KD IS NO LONGER WITH ORBITAL JIGSAW OR BLUBRRY**
WARNING: This episode contains details involving the death of a young child and may be difficult to listen to. Listener discretion is advised.
This is the sixth and final part of a six part series. If you haven't listened to the first 5 parts, pause this, listen to those first, then come back. Zachary Andrew Turner was murdered by the hands of his mother on August 18, 2003 at the age of 13 months. She also was responsible for the murder of Zachary’s father, Andrew David Bagby, 1 year 9 months and 14 days earlier. In this series, we are going to examine the entire timeline from the very beginning to see just how preventable this tragedy should have been, to examine the warning signs that so many people overlooked, and discuss just how fair the justice system should be when it comes to the rights of parents - especially when that parent is actually facing indictment for her child’s father.
