Show notes

The 2013 Murder of 74 Year Old Joseph Galfy, Jr. Perpetrated By Caleb "Kai The Hatchet-Wielding Hitchhiker" McGillivary
Back in 2013, Caleb McGillivary went from Internet viral star to inmate behind bars. Popularly known as Kai the hatchet-wielding hitchhiker, was wandering through life when he accidentally wandered into internet fame when he saved a number of people from one very out of control (and later found to be criminally insane) Jett McBride in Fresno, California. After giving a quirky, yet endearing interview with Fresno's local news reporter, where he described how he smashed, smashed, suh-maaaashed McBride about the head with his hatchet, he then became an unintentional hero. But, in 3 month's time, Caleb found himself on the other side of the country, in a Union County, New Jersey jail, charged with murder. This is Caleb's short brush with fame, and his long brush with infamy...

They have joined up with the American Military University investigative team, Jennifer Bucholtz and George Jared, to take a real-time, boots-on-the-ground investigation into the unsolved murder of 48 year old Judy Petty, a life-long resident of Parkersburg, West Virginia. On the afternoon of February 6, 2008, Judy left her grandmother's house to walk about a mile or so to the local public library to return some books, but she failed to return home. Judy's body, what was left of it, was discovered the next day, 13 miles away, on the Petty family farm property in the rubble of the outhouse, which had been set on fire and burned to the ground. How Judy got there, why she went there, who killed her, who set the fire and why they did this are answers the Petty's are still anxious to find the answers 15 years later.
