There is just something about Sandy Jobe. From the moment you meet her, you feel like you are in the presence of a queen. She carries herself with elegance and security, but there is a playfulness about her that makes her irresistible and very approachable.

When I was hosting a live event and wanted a speaker on the topic of blessing your home, I knew there was no better choice than Sandy. I have not personally been in Sandy’s home, but everyone who has tells me that she creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay. You sense the love of Jesus from wall to wall and floor to ceiling.

It is not too late to make your home a sanctuary and safe haven like Sandy has done. Want to know how she does it? Let’s listen in.

I am happy to feature my wonderful friend, Cassie Reid, on the podcast today. Dr. Cassie Reid is a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about the synthesis of counseling and hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. She loves to teach others about how to integrate this concept into their daily life, professional career, and ministry practice.

She is in the identity business and loves seeing people come alive as who they are called to be. She is the Director of Marriage and Family Therapy at The King’s University in Southlake, Texas.

Cassie spoke at a live event I hosted, and I had to share her message with a wider audience. I asked her to speak on the topic of developing in our God-given skill, and I can’t think of a more appropriate message for Christian writers who want to step into a calling that they so often feel under-prepared for. Here’s Dr. Cassie Reid. Enjoy!

Do you feel distracted by conflict in certain relationships? I see so many writers entangled by their emotions regarding the relationships in their lives. It trips them up and keeps them from moving forward in their writing projects. But God is advancing the Kingdom and transforming people in Jesus’s name through Christian books. So we don’t have time to get caught up in whatever holds us back.

This week, I am playing a special teaching for you. In it, I offer the practical reasons why you might be feeling disappointed in your relationships and what you can do about it as soon as today.

This episode will make you laugh and cry and laugh until you cry.

My dearest friend, Becky Brooks, was a speaker at a live event I hosted, and her presentation was one that I knew would bless more than just those who were in the room that day.

I had asked her to speak on the topic of relationships, and I knew it was a must to include on The Keep Writing Podcast because so many of my clients come to me with concerns about relationships and how they distract them from the work of writing their first book.

Let the Lord minister to you and those you love today. Please listen in and learn how to change your soundtrack about your relationships.

Navigating Motherhood by Becky Brooks is available now on Amazon!

Do the excuses seem to be piling up? Then you need to hear this interview!

I have a truly special conversation to share with you today. I am talking with one of my 1:1 clients, Abigail Brown.

The unique thing you will hear in this interview is that Abigail responds with the use of a voice device. She does not communicate with her own voice, and she was diagnosed with a condition called dystonia, which she will explain in our conversation.

Abigail is writing her first book right now, and she does it by typing with her thumb or knuckle. She does not type with the full dexterity of both hands. But does that stop her? Not at all.

There’s so much to learn from Abigail’s story. Listen in to hear the full interview now!

This interview was filled with so much gold!

Today I have a special treat for you. In our recent interview, one of my current one-on-one coaching clients, Ruthie Kim, offers some valuable perspectives on the process of writing her first book.

We often hear from people who are on the other side and are looking back on what it felt like to be in the book-writing process. But I wanted to invite you in on someone’s thoughts as they are in the book-writing process. You are going to love Ruthie’s heart.

    She will cover:

    • how she stepped out of her comfort zone to answer God’s call to write
    • why it’s okay to write about something that’s already been written about
    • how the Keep Writing Course and coaching helped Ruthie go from staring at a blank page for months to being well on her way to publishing her first book
    • and much, much more!

You will be inspired and encouraged by this interview! The truth is that you can do just as Ruthie is doing and follow the Holy Spirit into writing a book that will minister to people you’ve never met in places you might never go. Listen in to find out how!

Have you ever sat down to write but couldn’t because you felt frustrated, overwhelmed, or confused? Here’s a secret for you - all writers have!

You do not have to be hindered by these emotions. In fact, God has given you the authority to master them.

In this episode, I’m going to share a strategy I use to master my emotions and make them work for me. I will teach you how you can:

    • allow space for them to exist and keep writing anyway,
    • create a reframing sentence for each emotion,
    • use a brief daily journaling exercise to reframe negative emotions and cultivate positive ones,
    • discover and cultivate your three highest emotions in your zone of excellence.

It is our unmastered emotions that keep us from what we want most. By taking these practical steps, you can begin today on your journey to mastering your emotions so that you can keep writing! Listen in to learn how!
