I look at how money and social class are still the greatest barriers in classical music, as well as chatting about the scam of “music studio coaches.”

Fatness and Body Image in Classical Music Oct 01, 2026

A prevalent stereotype exists of classical musicians, particularly singers, that they’re all big fat lads with viking horns. However beauty standards have never been higher in the industry, and nor have eating disorders.

Looking at a study into disordered eating, as well as the commentary around Yuja Wang and Khatia Buniatishvili and the castrated singers of before, I try to quash these stereotypes.

Using a concert from psychologist Carl Rogers, I look at how other musicians evaluate their success internally and how we can do the same.

Israel's Classical Music Propaganda Tool Sep 17, 2026

Israel uses stolen classical music as a soft power to legitimise its existence as a state, and even the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra can’t hide that.

This episode compares it with Japan’s use of soft power post WW2, and calls for the industry to hold Israeli musicians to the same standards we held Russian ones too.

For a country of under 4 million people, Georgia is regularly producing some of the best musicians on earth.

I look at how this is in fact in spite of its Soviet past, instead due primarily to its incredible folk music ecosystem.

Ulster Unionism has created awful art, by right wingers with lower cognitive ability and emotional intelligence. Today I look at how and why this resonates artistically with very few people, whilst Irish art is admired worldwide.
