    Stephen Wolfram is a British-American computer scientist, theoretical physicist, and businessman. He is also known for his work in mathematics. In 2012, he was named an inaugural fellow of the American Mathematical Society.     KIP-500: Removing the Dependency of Zookeeper on Kafka Oct 19, 2020

ZooKeeper is used to maintain the metadata store required to operate Kafka. While ZooKeepers removal from Kafka will simplify the operational complexity and improve some of the scalability aspects of the platform, it is a huge undertaking that represents major changes to the overall architecture.
