There's a lot going on right now and our heads are spinning. What is going on in the Mountain West? It reminds Ian of the tumultuous relationship he has with college sports. He can't wrap his head around paying the salary of college athletes. Seattle sports are hurting right now - who can we see as the next great hope? Jim Bowden had some scathing comments regarding Mariners ownership and lack of spending. We take a listen back to his conversation with Softy and Dick and Ian reacts. Anders has some intel from a current MLB scout who puts a lot of blame on Jerry Dipoto, while Bowden put it all on ownership. Ian points out that regardless of what's going on, MLB teams make money. Of Keith Law's top 100 prospects in MLB, the Mariners have seven on the list. None of them are pitchers. Coach Carroll spoke at his introductory press conference with the Raiders today and we discuss how we think he'll assemble his new team. There are lots of possibilities. Joe Woods, Saints DC joins us to talk about new Seahawks offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak. He tells us what Seattle is getting in Kubiak, who comes from an extremely successful coaching family. He discusses how Kubiak builds his offense and how seeing things from a defensive perspective in his playing days helps him with the offense. Coach also explains how difficult it is to gameplan against DK Metcalf and discusses the championship games we saw over the weekend.The Super Bowl window for quarterbacks to win is narrower than some may think. Ian had a panic moment this morning, but things are all ok now. Pete Carroll is back in the league with the Raiders and Ian contends he's at least a borderline hall of famer, only considering how difficult it is for coaches to get in these days. Ian sees him as a Bonafide HOFer. Danny O'Neil, The Dang Apostrophe! Danny was surprised by Pete Carroll's hiring in Las Vegas - not because he's back in the league, but where he ended up, as Chicago seemed like a more likely fit. It will be difficult for Pete to assemble a staff with so many of those in his coaching tree with current jobs. Who could be a target for him? Danny doesn't see Pete slowing down or changing his approach. Will Russell Wilson end up in Vegas? Finally, Danny gives his thoughts on Ichiro in the Hall of Fame. Ian, Anders and Jess thoughts on whether Pete Carroll will find success in Vegas. Stewart Mandel, The Athletic wraps up the college football season and starts with the College Football Playoff, which he deems a success for not only the 12 teams in it, but for college football as a whole. The NIL numbers are going to continue to rise and retention will become more and more difficult. Ichiro went into the Hall of Fame this week and we listen to the same story told about him from both a writer and player perspective. The Daily Power Play! Rob Rang, FOX Sports and BC Lions discusses the top of the NFL draft this year and how deep the offensive line class is this year.

Ian has a dysfunctional relationship with college football and he want to know how others feel about the sport right now. He is addicted to a sport that he knows must change. Of all the things that are wrong right now, he can't stop watching. Is there Chiefs fatigue? What do you want to see this championship weekend? Corbin Smith, Locked on Seahawks tells us the latest with the Seahawks' offensive coordinator search and what might be dragging it out a bit. Corbin also details who might be a salary cap casualty for Seattle this year. Chuck Powell is fired up about the Mariners lack of moves and we ride his fury. Can we count the 'moves' they made as moves at all? We still can't believe the Mariners couldn't even get a meeting with Roki Sasaki. The Daily Power Play! Gary Parrish, CBS Sports sets the scene for where college basketball is right now in the world of the NIL. Duke is such an outlier winning with freshman, as everyone else is loading up with paid players. Gary previews the biggest games of the weekend, especially with Auburn taking on Tennessee on Saturday.
