    The Hopeaholics

Chad Carlsen started The Hopeaholics Podcast after his soon-to-be son-in-law died of fentanyl poisoning. Not as therapy. As a response to a crisis that kills tens of thousands of people a year while most of the country looks the other way.

Hosted by Chad and WWE superstar Natalie Eva Marie, The Hopeaholics brings on survivors of addiction, mental illness, and the kind of rock-bottom moments most people never talk about. Long-form, unfiltered conversations with people in recovery, families who’ve lost someone, and the professionals working inside the addiction treatment system.

David Meltzer: How Gratitude Can Change Your Life | The Hopeaholics Podcast
In this powerful episode of The Hopeaholics Podcast, David Meltzer shares his incredible journey from making hundreds of millions of dollars, losing it all, and rebuilding his life through faith, gratitude, and purpose. As the Chairman of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, David discusses how timeless principles from Think and Grow Rich transformed his mindset and mission to empower over a billion people to be happy. He emphasizes the importance of non-negotiable habits—like prioritizing health, family, and faith—and explains how these consistent actions anchor his success. David dives deep into the concept of "divine detours," seeing life’s obstacles as opportunities for growth and greater alignment with a higher purpose. With raw honesty, he reflects on the life-changing moment when his wife and mother gave him an ultimatum: the day he stopped trying to change was the day they would cut him off. He credits their tough love and his commitment to constant self-improvement for his ability to rise again. Throughout the conversation, David challenges the stigma around wealth and generosity, arguing that you can only give as much as you have. His message is clear—keep trying, embrace divine timing, and never let failure define you. This episode is a compelling reminder that with faith, persistence, and a willingness to change, it’s possible to rebuild and live a life of true abundance.

Donal & Tiernan Cranny: "THERE'S NO ROOM FOR EMPATHY" | The Hopeaholics Podcast

In this compelling episode of The Hopeaholics Podcast, father-son duo Donal and Tiernan Cranny share their powerful journey through addiction and recovery. Donal reflects on his childhood in Northern Ireland during "The Troubles," his battle with alcoholism while working on Wall Street, and how the 12-step program transformed his life. Tiernan opens up about starting substance use at 10 years old, his struggle with harder drugs in his teenage years, and how his father’s sobriety eventually inspired his own recovery. Together, they discuss the generational impact of addiction, the challenges of family dynamics, and the hope found in healing.
