Kickstarter Updates #2 Nov 19, 2025

Show notes

The Kickstarter has officially ended, and unfortunately we didn’t meet our goal or make the amount needed for Season Two. The money will now return to everyone who pledged it.

It’s a blow, but made softer by the wonderful support, messages and donations we’ve received over the last few weeks. Whether you’ve been with us since the first Kickstarter, or found us only a few days ago, we cannot overstate just how much your listenership, love and support means and has meant to us.

What comes next?

We are not giving up on season two! We’re going to finish and lock the scripts, as we always planned, and see what we can do with alternate avenues of funding, ready to jump into production as soon as we find ourselves able.

It means a much harder, slower road, especially with arts council funding all but dried up for podcasts, and with no money, backing or networks supporting us at this current time. We’re going to start putting out feelers, and see what we can do into the new year.

As a huge thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us, we intend to produce a small bare-bones winter special over the next few months. We’ll keep you updated as we can, but we can reveal it will center around Jonathan Harker the Third and The Sister. (And if we can’t produce it, we might simply post the script!)

Just to reiterate the above, thank you so much for everything. We're going to find a way to make Holmwood somehow. We're not going anywhere, and if you have any questions at any time, you can ask us on any of our socials.

Thanks again, Fio & Georgia

Kickstarter Updates #1 Nov 01, 2025

Show notes

KICKSTARTER LINK: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/georgiacook/the-holmwood-foundation-season-two

(My apologies for any phlem and mouth sounds during this message. I'm currently battling a cold)

Hello everyone. Georgia here, one half of the writing team behind the Holmwood Foundation.

We now have two weeks left to go on our Kickstarter for season two. Unfortunately we are currently only 18 percent funded, and are running out of time to secure the full amount.

If we don’t raise the amount needed, we simply can’t make season two. We have no outside funding, and no current sponsors. We are not a large production company. Holmwood is just the two of us writing, producing, and finding the money to pay our cast and crew.

If you like what we’ve produced for season one, and want to know what happens next to Maddie, Jeremy and the Harkers, please consider donating to the kickstarter. We have a range of exciting tier rewards on offer, including cassette tapes of the pilot, stickers, postcards and a deck of playing cards designed around the main cast.

If you lack the funds right now, please know that any shares, reviews and recommendations go just as far, and we appreciate any and all assistance in spreading the show’s reach.

We’ve loved making Holmwood so far, and we are so excited to bring you season two. We know exactly where we’re headed in the story, but we need your help to get us there.

Thank you so much for listening.

THE HOLMWOOD FOUNDATION S2 KICKSTARTER IS NOW LIVE! Oct 15, 2025

Show notes

Hello everyone, This is Fio Trethewey for your update on The Holmwood Foundation.

Following our successful seven-episode first season, we’re back to crowdfunding for Season Two, and this time we want to bring you ten brand new episodes to continue this story and expand the world of The Holmwood Foundation!

We estimate that we will need £40k to make Season Two a reality. This includes paying our cast and crew a fair rate, distribution, website costs and tier rewards.

If you'd like to support the show, here are the rewards you can receive for backing our campaign! Including Stickers, Postcards, High Stakes fandom goodies, a deck of cards, and a physical cassette of our pilot with unique packaging!

Should this Kickstarter be successful, we aim to record in mid-2026, in time for a bi-weekly release schedule in Autumn/Halloween 2026.

We’re crowdfunding until November 13th so please do support us to make Season Two a reality. Find our Kickstarter at the following link

Hello everyone. I’m Georgia Cook, one half of the writing and production team behind The Holmwood Foundation. With Season One now ended, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has listened along, posted theories, made fanworks, or just enjoyed the adventures of Maddie, Jeremy and the Harkers up to this point.

Whether you've been with us since before the pilot, or joined us along the way, we couldn't be more grateful that you've chosen to spend your time with us. And we sincerely hope you enjoyed what we've given you!

So, what comes next?

We've got two more seasons of Holmwood planned. At the current time of recording, Season Two Scripts are fully outlined and about 3/4s complete, and will be ten episodes long.Same as with Season one, we will be Kickstarting Season Two. We're just putting the final touches to our Kickstarter campaign, which we plan to launch in October, so keep an eye out for that! We should be posting the pre-launch page to our socials very soon.

Due to actor availability, Season Two (should we secure funding, and nothing unexpected happens) should be out around October 2026.

We'll also be looking to cast three new roles for the coming season, so keep an eye out for more information if you're interested in joining the team!

Please follow our socials if you haven’t already, or join our Discord! Links to all will be in the show notes for this episode.

And last of all: what did you think of Season One? Did we meet your expectations? Do you have a favorite character/episode? Are there plot points or themes you wish we'd handled differently! Let us know!
