    Show notes

Yellow Birds stars Alden Ehrenreich and Tye Sheridan as Brandon Bartle and Daniel Murphy, two young men whose bond is strengthened by their tour overseas in Iraq. But as often happens in war, tragedy strikes, and we then watch as Bartle leads us to the pieces of a looming mystery as to what exactly happened overseas. The film also stars Jennifer Anniston and Toni Collette.

For this interview, Aaron sits down with director Alexandre Moors to discuss getting his film made, how he ended up with such a stellar cast full of actors from such recent films as Han Solo, Ready Player One and Hereditary, and why this story was an important one to tell.

The Yellow Birds arrives in select theaters and on demand on June 15th, 2018

Hunting ISIS | Interview with Director Sebastiano Tomada and Producer Christopher Leggett May 31, 2018
    Show notes

Hunting ISIS follows a group of veteran and civilian volunteers who smuggle themselves into Syria and Iraq to fight against ISIS alongside local militias. Through the eyes of American fighters embedded with the Kurdish YPG militia in Syria, and medics supporting a coalition of local forces in Iraq, Hunting ISIS follows these men as they begin the difficult push to retake ISIS' capital cities. New episodes air Tuesdays at 10PM Eastern on the History Channel.

What is most interesting about Hunting ISIS is these brave men are not doing it for pay, they're doing it because they believe in the cause. Each and every day, they wake up to face the possibility of death or imprisonment, and they continue forward. Not only does the series showcase the mission of these men, it also directs audiences to additional information about the conflict, and what it means for the world at large.

For this exclusive interview, host Aaron Peterson sits down with director, Sebastiano Tomada and Deirio Films producer Christopher Leggett to discuss developing and filming Hunting ISIS, where the threat of war loomed over every frame.

This is one interview you won't want to miss!

Mother's Day and Father's Day are both here, so what better time to discuss the evolution of television families?

Building A Marvel Cinematic Universe and Avengers: Infinity War | Ep 310 May 02, 2018
    Show notes

With the largest opening in history, everyone is talking about Avengers: Infinity War. So we thought, as we celebrate 10 years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let's go back to the beginning and look at how we got here.

This week, we discuss all of the films BEFORE Infinity War. We begin with Iron Man, and how Marvel gambled on a risky talent by the name of Robert Downey, Jr. While he is beloved worldwide for his portrayal of Tony Stark, as well as many other projects, he was very much an actor studios were leery of. By staking the entirety of their future on him, they hedged what turned out to be one of the greatest bets in cinematic history.

From here we move on to discuss everything else Marvel has attempted to do in the past 10 years. From their struggles – recasting Bruce Banner and War Machine – to their insane successes (what's a Guardian of the Galaxy again?), we tackle it all on this extra-Marvelous episode that any film fan won't want to miss.

AFTER this discussion, we take off the Spoiler Gauntlet and jump into Avengers: Infinity War! What we loved, what we loathed, favorite moments, personal experiences, and especially: what we thought of that ending! There is a lot to talk about this week, so take a listen.
