November Business Energy Reading Oct 31, 2018
    Show notes

November is upon us and we are being invited to once again check in with where we are in our businesses, what we are prioritizing, and how we are caring – or not caring – for ourselves. The past few months have been part of a huge Death moment, the cards calling us out on how we spend our time and money, and whether or not our goals are in alignment with the life we desire. Every level of inquiry is exposing old patterns and beliefs that limit our potential, and in November we get a crash course in how being alignment does not mean that our work will be easy.

In this energy reading, we discuss how to make choices, which responsibilities we want to prioritize, differentiating between revenue-generating activities and other projects, and re-centering on the forward path. There is a call to generosity and service, while pouring our resources into the vision we’re holding for the business to pull us through the end of the year.

    Alia Walston Oct 25, 2018
    Show notes

Intuitive reader and educator Alia Walston joins the show to share about her journey through addiction, sobriety, and spiritual calling. Through an ever-expanding understanding of tarot, astrology and magical work, Alia connects to the soul’s purpose to create experiences of joy.

Alia openly discusses her mental health and substance use challenges, and how they led her to more deeply explore divinity and her shadow self. She explores the purpose of her work, stretching beyond the confines of particular modalities, and the difference between showing up for the deep stuff and following the trends.

We talk about calling on spirits for guidance, pausing despite the social media-driven priority of constant newness, and the reality of destroyed grand plans. This is a beautiful, honest episode that you don’t want to miss.

    Dana Balicki Oct 11, 2018
    Show notes

Transformational coach and teacher Dana Balicki is on the show sharing about her journey from professional activism to sustainable healership.

In this episode, we explore the importance of joy in our work and how to slow the fuck down. Dana shares about how burnout (even from joy!) can be our greatest teacher, and how that can get in the way of our ability to catalyze our own change rather than relying on others to fix our lives.

Dana offers guidance on how to find where you have choice in your life, and how to release old stories of lack even in the midst of our oppressive economic and social systems.

We also discuss the importance of giving ourselves the gift of being a student, the need to prioritize our own care and process over jumping into serving others, and the magic of slow medicine.

October Business Energy Reading Oct 03, 2018
    Show notes

It’s October! BEST MONTH. This Libra is biased, but October is a powerful month for letting go of old stories and connecting into our deeper truths. The liminality of fall dredges up all kinds of crap for us to sort through, review, and release.

As business owners and creative folk, that means money. Specifically fear of not having it, and how that fear drives us to make decisions in our businesses that are not necessarily in alignment with our vision.

October’s Business Energy Reading is all about approaching that fear and finding ways to work through it. Are we really broke, or just afraid of it? If we are, can we move through any shame to ask for help? And what does help look like in a month when we are invited to face the deepest fear of most business owners: failure?

It’s not all doom and gloom I assure you, but October is a big ask for us to step the fuck up. If September was about doing the work, October asks us to make sure that work is what we’re meant to be doing.

Natha Perkins Campanella Sep 27, 2018
    Show notes

This week we’re chatting astrology! Natha Perkins Campanella is an intuitive counselor and astrologer, and joins the show to share how we can look to our astrological chart to help understand ourselves as business owners.

In this episode, Natha tells you where to look in your chart to learn about your business acumen, and uses me as an example (all of you astrology stalker folk who just love hearing about other people’s charts will enjoy this). Natha also explains some critical transits, and helps your astrology-ignorant host understand how the stars can clarify our gifts and challenges in our business and creative lives.

We also talk about her path to astrology (it was a winding road!) and how she works with people today. There’s some mild ranting about rude comments on Instagram, and a lot of vulnerability around what it takes to grow a business.

Grumpisode with Yarrow Magdalena Sep 13, 2018
    Show notes

Welcome to the Grumpisode! That’s right, my friends – this week is all about allowing ourselves to be grumpy sometimes because owning a business is hard and catharsis is healing. I’m joined today by a dear friend and brilliant soul-centered entrepreneur, Yarrow Magdalena. Yarrow and I have been internet buds for a while, and it was such a blast to grump it out together.

We dive into all sorts of things that make us grumpy:

    • Being sick when you’re the only person in your business
    • Having to constantly try to outsmart social media algorithms
    • Wanting the security of owning a home
    • Trying and failing to not work all the time
    • Being multifaceted, multitude-containing humans who can grump and be grateful at the same time
    • and more!

Yarrow Magdalena is a tarot reader and ritual maker who helps soft folks reclaim embodiment, intuition, a connection to nature and everyday magic through the Daydreaming Wolves project. Their practices around folk herbalism, journaling, tarot, movement and creative expression are trauma sensitive, queer and body positive and as inclusive and accessible as possible.

Yarrow also runs a web design + tech studio called Yarrow Digital which supports small businesses in building heartfelt, sustainable online platforms made to hold big dreams and beautiful communities. They specialize in custom made WordPress sites as well as easy to understand tech support and run a low cost DIY business training.
