MEMORARE
Remember, O most
gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in they mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
A BETTER YES by Travis Clark
Lately, I've had a thousand closing doors
That made me have to trust You even more
Gotta just wait, gotta have faith
He's got something good in store
And every no means You've got a better yes
Every "not now" gets me closer to its best
Believe and You'll be leading me to somewhere I'll be blessed
Every no means You've got a better yes
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
One thing I've learned; gotta live with open hands (live with open hands)
Lifting offering of all my hopes and plans
It can be hard, even break my heart
But I've come to understand
Every no means You've got a better yes
Every "not now" gets me closer to its best
Believe and You'll be leading me to somewhere I'll be blessed
Every no means You've got a better yes
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
All I want is what You want for me
You will meet my each and every need
And I am sure of Your great love for me
Every no means You've got a better yes
And every no means You've got a better yes
Every "not now" gets me closer to its best
Believe and You'll be leading me to somewhere I'll be blessed
Every no means You've got a better yes
TELL HIM by Lauryn Hill
Yo heh heh tell him it's like uhh you know uhh
Sweet sweet tell him
Let me be patient let me be kind
Make me unselfish without being blind
Though I may suffer I'll envy it not
And endure what comes
Cause he's all that I got and
Tell him...
Tell him I need him (yeah)
Tell him I love him (tell him)
And it'll be alright
[Background singing] Tell him be alright be alright
Tell him tell him I need him
Tell him I love him
It'll be alright
Now I may have faith to make mountains fall
But if I lack love then I am nothin' at all
I can give away everything I possess
But left without love then I have no happiness
I know I'm imperfect (I know I'm imperfect)
And not without sin (and not without sin)
But now that I'm older all childish things end
And tell him...
Tell him I need him (yeah)
Tell him I love him (tell him)
And it'll be alright
[Background singing] Tell him be alright be alright
Tell him tell him I need him
Tell him I love him
It'll be alright
[Bridge]
I'll never be jealous
And I won't be too proud
Cause love is not boastful
Oooh and love is not loud
Tell him I need him
Tell him I love him
Everything's gonna be alright [w/ ad libs]
Oooh oooh yeah yeah aww yeah
Now I may have wisdom and knowledge on Earth
But if I speak wrong then what is it worth?
See what we now know is nothing compared
To the love that was shown when our lives were spared
And tell him...
Tell him I need him (yeah)
Tell him I love him (tell him)
And it'll be alright
[Background singing] Tell him be alright be alright
Tell him tell him I need him
Tell him I love him
It'll be alright

Fr. Scott Steinkerchner, OP breaks open the readings for the Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time, centering on different interpretations of Paul's Letter to the Ephesians where he admonishes wives to be submissive to their husbands and husbands to love their wives, as Christ's relationship to the church is analogous to marriage. Which part you emphasize changes the interpretation of the other readings.
