Does Canada have the worst group at the World Cup? Canada Men's National Team manager Jesse Marsch, based in Italy, joins Herc to discuss the challenges facing his squad as they prepare for the tournament.
Jesse analyzes striker Jonathan David's adjustment period at Juventus, revealing the off-field moves that complicated his star’s start in Italy and why David’s intelligence is his greatest asset. He then provides a medical update on Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, explaining the long-term benefits of his injury layoff. Plus, Marsch reflects on lessons from the recent Copa America, including the controversial match against Argentina, what he would have done differently, the call-up of Marcelo Flores to their January camp, and how he plans to persuade him to switch from El Tri to the Canucks.
