The Gestalt Gardener — Games & Hobbies
The Gestalt Gardener

Each week, horticulturalist Felder Rushing shares stories, answers questions and just talks gardening. Of course, you’ll hear a bit of “cheesy music” in every program and you might hear a bad joke or two as well. The Gestalt Gardener is a long-time favorite on MPB Think Radio, due in no small part to Felder’s laid-back, your-neighbors-might-talk-but-so-what approach to gardening.

Email Felder anytime at garden@mpbonline.org and listen Friday mornings at 9 and Saturday mornings at 10 to The Gestalt Gardener on MPB Think Radio. And in the meantime, as Felder says, get out and get dirty.

The Gestalt Gardener | Fall Flavors Nov 05, 2021

While autumn is the proper name for the season between summer and winter, the name that you are most likely to hear is fall. Today Felder brings in a great fall bouquet with color and flavor to represent the season and shares a message of what is on the other side of a gardener's life. And as always helps out with your southern gardening questions. Let's get dirty!

The Gestalt Gardener | Felder's Fish Oct 15, 2021

Show notes

Starting small is a great motto when approaching the art of gardening. Start with a pot, then move to a box and next thing you know you will be maintaining a beautiful garden. Or in Felder's case start with a coffee mug water garden before you graduate to the full-sized pond. During this round of southern gardening questions, Felder talks about magnolia tree roots, small peppers, and just about everything in between. Also with his cheesy tune, Felder pays tribute to one of the first true superstars of space. Let's get dirty!
