    Show notes

00:00 – 14:25 It’s another Football Friday, and a great weekend to look ahead for. One half of the participants for the World Series is confirmed, as the Milwaukee Brewers completed the sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers last night. College football is making a big change with the 24-team playoff. Things like conference championships and big conference moments could lose meaning.

    14:25 - 22:21 Morning Checkdown

22:21 - 42:57 WTHR’s Dominic Miranda joins to break down the final week of high school football. He talks some of the top matchups throughout the state. He’ll also be in the same situation as Kevin, attending a wedding while Notre Dame plays on Saturday.

42:57 - 1:09:05 Matt Weaver from Peegs.com joins to give his take on the potential 24-team College Football Playoff. He also takes us through the huge matchup for the Hoosiers, and what expectations should look like. If the 24-team CFP goes through, it changes the course of the regular season. Many teams that would normally face “must-win” games will get in without a doubt. Morning Checkdown

1:09:05 - 1:16:42 Will we see an NFL weird moment in Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. This is a “Can’t Lose” game, but Kevin argues this is a game that the Colts could struggle in. The Colts need to win, but we will really need to see something great from Daniel Jones and the defensive ends.

1:16:42 - 1:24:34 More on how the rumored 24-team CFP would affect the world of college football. This would require teams to play 10 P4 opponents every season to receive consideration. Is this even necessary? The best teams find their way to the end. What happens to the bowl games?

1:24:34 - 1:47:24 Matt Taylor, Voice of the Indianapolis Colts joins to get us prepared for Sunday’s matchup against the Titans. He gives some tidbits to keep in mind going into the game. The guys also react live to the news of the release of Darius Slayton. Morning Checkdown.

    Show notes

00:00 – 14:02 The Fan Morning Show begins discussing Shane Steichen’s intriguing opening statement after yesterday’s practice. Not really addressing the Titans and what they’re skilled at is understandable, but still out of the ordinary. The Colts injury report also had some interesting wording for some of the listings. Alec Pierce also doesn’t seem close to a return, after seeing his state at practice.

    14:02 - 22:10 Morning Checkdown

22:10 - 40:41 Germaine Pratt says that he’s ready to go Sunday against the Titans, but Kevin argues that he might not be in NFL shape. This is different to last year when he came in from the Raiders, but this season he is coming from a role with NC State. Kevin has a weird feeling about Sunday’s game. Nothing specific, but just an odd feeling... As part of the 2006 Colts Super Bowl Anniversary, we caught up with Bob Sanders and heard what he’s been up to.

40:41 - 1:07:22 Greg Rakestraw joins in studio to help us break down the final week of Indiana high school football. He gives opinion on which teams are flying under the radar as we approach sectionals. They also discuss what the best Colts offseason move was. Stephen Holder Breaks Down Colts Pursuit on Marvin Harrison Jr. Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

ESPN’s Stephen Holder joins to explain the Colts’ involvement in Marvin Harrison Jr. and how heavy they were in pursuing him. The Colts much rather would’ve had a healthy Michael Pittman Jr., and that Keenan Allen has been underwhelming this season. Recycling former Lou Anarumo players is a tactic that doesn’t work in the NFL.

Wednesday 10/14: Butler HC Ronald Nored, Pacers Preseason, More Colts Memories! Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

00:00 – 14:34 Tyrese Haliburton seemed to return to form last night against the Thunder in preseason action. Ivica Zubac also looked great, so we can look forward to that pairing throughout the season. Kevin has had some scary thoughts about the Colts, and James compares them to candy corn on Halloween.

    14:34 - 20:28 Morning Checkdown

20:28 - 42:10 We got to see all of the starters for the Thunder last night and it was a bit jarring to see them again lined up against the Pacers. However, we did see glimpses of the potential of what this team could be. The regular season begins in a week. Kevin breaks down his scary Colts thoughts. Many of Ballard’s draft picks throughout his tenure have been very horrific and underwhelming. The issues with the Colts are from the top down, and there are ten years' worth of evidence.

42:10 - 1:06:20 ESPN’s Stephen Holder joins to explain the Colts’ involvement in Marvin Harrison Jr. and how heavy they were in pursuing him. The Colts much rather would’ve had a healthy Michael Pittman Jr., and that Keenan Allen has been underwhelming this season. Recycling former Lou Anarumo players is a tactic that doesn’t work in the NFL. LeBron James recently spoke on Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers, and could they be a good regular season team? We’ve seen them become risers in the playoffs, but becoming better in the regular season could take them to another level. Morning Checkdown.

1:06:20 - 1:17:56 Butler Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ronald Nored joins us to recap Sunday’s exhibition vs Indiana. He was impressed with the atmosphere in Hinkle Fieldhouse, and the excitement of the fans. He says that this exhibition season is about learning and improving by the time the regular season starts. He also comments on what it was like to have Brad Stevens in the building to support him.

1:17:56 - 1:23:55 More discussions on Colts roster changes throughout the years and how it affects the team in the current day.

1:23:55 - 1:48:30 We continue our flashback of the 2006 Colts Super Bowl season. We hear Antoine Bethea’s thoughts going into that season and how he could make an impact. We have truly been impressed with both the return of Tyrese Haliburton, and how Ivica Zubac has been able to blend into the lineup with him. This will be a very exciting season as we get it started here in a week. Morning Checkdown.

1:48:30 - 1:58:58 We talk about the ticket prices for IU vs Ohio State. Ohio State has only given up one pass play for more than 30 yards this season. Kevin and James name that Pacers players that they feel haven’t been talked about enough and are excited for. Kevin continues to plan how he can watch the Notre Dame game while at a wedding.

1:58:58 - 2:04:06 Jake Query joins from Rally House today, and he previews his show as well as opportunities for fans to win gift cards.

Monday 10/13: More Colts Loss Fallout + Looking Forward to IU vs Ohio State! Oct 13, 2026
    Show notes

00:00 – 12:51 Kevin is still buzzing from last night’s Monday Night Football game. The first overtime win for Josh Allen came against the Rams. James is back from Pittsburgh and got a chance to catch up on some sleep and errands. The weather in Pittsburgh became a bit of a non-factor, despite what we were thinking going into last Sunday. Minimal cause for concern for Tyrese Haliburton tweaking his ankle during the Pacers’ first preseason game We’re still looking forward to seeing him in the new ABA jerseys later this season.

    12:51 - 20:07 Morning Checkdown

20:07 - 42:10 The Ohio State matchup is very achievable for the Hoosiers. We’ve seen this team lose, but the Hoosiers defense will need to be on their best behavior. The Texans have made a move for Marvin Harrison Jr. Are we surprised the Colts didn’t pursue harder? They haven’t done much for their WR room aside from the late acquisition of Keenan Allen.

42:10 - 1:05:35 There will be many eyes on Indiana in the world of college football this weekend with Purdue playing on Friday and seeking their third consecutive Big Ten win, Ohio State vs IU in Bloomington, and Notre Dame vs BYU. Kevin revisits Curt Cignetti’s quote of how “Good teams find a way to win.” They discuss what this win could mean to the Hoosiers, but also what effects a loss could have. Cignetti spoke about Jeremiah Smith and called him a “Freak” and a “wild player.” Kevin faces a potential disaster this weekend, since he has to attend a wedding during Notre Dame’s game. Morning Checkdown.

1:05:35 - 1:22:48 Steven Godfrey from Yahoo Sports joins to give Kevin advice on his wedding and Saturday Night Football situation. He also provides some insight on the matchup between IU and Ohio State. He also says that he wants some chaos and wouldn’t mind Big Ten success to disappoint SEC fans. He also talks the Notre Dame and BYU matchup. Steven also gives his take on Arch Manning and is the criticism around him is justified.

1:22:48 - 1:24:51 We close out Hour 2 by debriefing the discussion of Indiana and their differences in playmaking compared to last season. Nick Marsh was truly impressive against Nebraska, proving it’s not just a Charlie Becker receiving room.

1:24:51 - 1:45:16 As we consider the problems that the Colts have dealt with this season, we need to give more attention to how Jonathan Taylor hasn’t been able to splash like he usually does. Part of it is due to Daniel Jones not producing on his end, so the run becomes more predictable and stoppable. The Titans aren’t relatively strong in any category, so a lopsided win shouldn’t be a reason to believe the Colts are back. More of attempting to find a way that Kevin can watch the Notre Dame game at the wedding. Morning Checkdown.

1:45:16 - 1:55:30 The Pacers’ new throwback uniforms are truly amazing. There are few opportunities left in the preseason for Tyrese Haliburton to get more reps with Ivica Zubac. He’s mentioned he hasn’t had this much space when playing alongside a big, but Zubac also can’t stretch the floor like Myles Turner did.

1:55:30 - 2:03:50 Jake Query joins to close out the show. He and the guys discuss who could be next in the Colts Ring of Honor. Kevin previews his conversation with Bob Sanders and how he could potentially be a candidate.
