    Fine & Raw Oct 03, 2016
    Show notes

Today I'll be talking to Daniel Sklaar from Fine and Raw in Bushwick, Brooklyn. I found Daniel thanks to Monkey (he's my guest on the second episode!). He referred to him as the Willy Wonka of Bushwick, and how could I resist meeting someone with such a nickname? Daniel's chocolate factory is one of the most fascinating places you'll find in this neighborhood: the smells captures once you enter the store and the where the magic happens is just there, in front of you.

    Shag Brooklyn Oct 03, 2016
    Show notes

Shag is a sexy shop that hosts events with local artists and offers each visitor the experience of a sexy environment. It's not a sex shop, or at least not like the ones we're used to, this is a place where feminism, art and sex merges.

    Mellow Pages Jul 29, 2016
    Show notes

Matt Nelson is the co-founder of Mellow Pages in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Mellow Pages is a library and reading room that invites and supports independent writers and connects them with a community of readers and small printers. The idea of Mellow Pages started when Jacob (Matt's partner) opened his unused painting studio to friends and hosted reading nights with Matt. The community started to grow and the rest, well, you'll hear it from Matt himself.

Wrecords by Monkey Jul 27, 2016
    Show notes

Today I'll be talking to Monkey founder of Wrecords in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Monkey has created a successful brand (and products) from one source: recycled vinyl. He shared with me how growing up in an industrial area of the country and his love for skating let him here, and his natural talent of selling his product by being absolutely authentic and fun to talk to.

Matt Dilling is founder of Brite Lite Neon Studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Matt is also known as the "The Neon King of New York," his fascination with electricity started at the early age of 3 when he asked for a chocolate outlet on his birthday. He worked as an electrician during his teenage years and got introduced to the art & craft of neon at an early age with Craig Craft in Washington DC.

I spoke with Matt about the early years of Brite Lite Neon studio, how his spends part of his time as a biodynamic beekeeper and the lessons he has learned from his clients in all this years.
