COURSE PODCAST CLIP: When They Bite the Bullet - Part 3 Aug 24, 2017
    Show notes

Every other Wednesday we publish a new episode of the Equipped for Life Podcast, available to everyone who purchases our course, "Equipped for Life: A Fresh Approach to Conversations about Abortion." Generally, these podcast episodes won't be available to the general public, but we plan on releasing short clips from the episodes every Thursday, to give you a sense of what these podcasts are like.

In this episode of the Equipped for Life Course Podcast, Josh, Tim, and Jacob conclude their discussion of how to respond when people bite the bullet by discussing the examples of infanticide and moral relativism.

In these clips from the full episode, Josh and Tim argue about whose approach to responding to relativists is more effective.

Note: As we explained in the first clip, the audio from the first three episodes of the podcast is distorted due to a technical problem. This was resolved before the next recording session. Please excuse the low quality of these first three Equipped for Life Podcast clips.

When a Hypothetical Story Isn't Hypothetical After All Aug 21, 2017
    Show notes

Sometimes when I talk about abortion with strangers, it feels like I've already had that conversation before, because they're making familiar statements. But the truth is, I haven't had that conversation before, because I haven't heard that statement from that person before. Even though some statements are very common, different people mean very different things by them. A recent conversation I had with a hotel shuttle driver named "Mark" reminded me that while I may have heard the same words before, I hadn't heard his story before. I think there's a lesson you can learn from this situation that will help you have better dialogues with pro-choice people.

Why Rhonda Changed Her Mind About Whether to Use the Word "Pro-Choice" Jul 27, 2017

It's not always easy for a pro-life person to go from using the label they've always preferred to a different one. When we talk to people we form habits, and getting out of habits is always difficult. In this video Josh Brahm tells the brief story of a woman named Rhonda who decided to change one of the labels she used to favor.

FULL COURSE PODCAST: Listener Mail - Questions About Confirmation Bias Jul 24, 2017
    Show notes

Every other Tuesday we publish a new episode of the Equipped for Life Podcast, available to everyone who purchases our course, "Equipped for Life: A Fresh Approach to Conversations about Abortion." Generally these podcast episodes won't be available to the general public, but we plan on occasionally making exceptions, and we've decided to make this episode available to everybody.

In this episode Josh and Tim Brahm talk about confirmation bias and why that's a difficult thing to avoid during this political season.

Some of the questions we respond to in this episode:

    - How hard should we work to balance our social media feeds so that we see both sides of multiple issues when we log into Facebook or Twitter?

    - Are there any pro-choice films that you recommend to anti-abortion thinkers? In addition, are there any pro-choice films you deem to be morally reprehensible and therefore undeserving of pro-life viewership?"

The episode begins with some pre-show banter, which is common for this podcast. In this case the topic ends up directly tying with the main topic for the show.
