    Show notes

Thursday here on the Dr. Greenthumb Podcast we got GF aka The godfather in the house and Bobo. The crew goes over Tony A being a guest yesterday and reflect on his impact again. B-Real talks about Bobo's first times coming around the Cypress Hill crew and initiating him in. The Dr. and Bobo remember smashing the dj equipment after set after set when touring in the early years before cell phone cameras and every show being captured. The Godfather asks if anyone has been caught smoking boot before and Bobo mentions a time back in the days where they found boof in Brazil but the Dr assures us all that now a days it is better. GF tells the story of Delo of the WWF days got him some boof sent to him instead of the GOOD GOOD they promised that was coming. Well Delo promised GF that Chronic but it wasn't good and GF was not having it and took him wrestlers court. B-Real goes on about a time he's performing and he smelled a horrible smell coming from Bobo's area and he thought it was a stink bomb. After the set and Dougie tells B-Real it was their tour manager was farting into an industrial fan that was pointing to them on stage. These were very powerful farts and both Bobo and the Dr. were beyond confused during the show so they took him to homie court and had all the paper work actual printed and sent to his hotel room. Bobo was his lawyer and of course he lost that case being it was so hard and B-Real was the prosecutor and really went after it. A plea bargain was placed and he was not allowed to be on stage for a few weeks and when he came back everyone was terrified of him being near a fan after that. The shots of mezcal get poured and Gf felt like Bobo started taking digs at him and the dogs got sicked on Bobo. B-Real tells GF the story of his hollywood neighbors hating him but he had a rottweiler that did NOT like Bobo and caught him lacking in the jacuzzi one time he got out when B was busy in the house. The art requests were made to resident artist Teeny Mane. The magic curtain produced some Valaso Salsa for the crew to enjoy and the doors to the Insane Asylum open up for crazy questions from the 5150's. The Dr. Greenthumb Podcast | Ep.147 w Tony A Da Wizard Dec 21, 2020
    Show notes

We welcome on a Wednesday, Tony A. to the podcast. B-Real was recently on Tony's show and came through at the right time for some Dr-Rita's. Former Mixtape DJ, Tony found his way into a record deal with Disney early in his career making music with HI-C which lead to making a documentary to making a podcast. Tony found his love on directing and podcasting for rasa and representing the culture. Turns out Tony doesnt still just hold it down on the turn tables, but his turn tables look like R2D2 for his Star wars love. E-Zone had to shit on star wars per usual but the majority of the table went in on their passion for the series. As technology advanced, B-Real points out that many were against it, but now they limits are endless to produce movies. Tony brings up his fear of the movie jaws and E-Zone agreed he doesnt like the ocean due to its danger. The Dr. and Tony both had experiences with Piranhas as B had a friend who was into it but Tony had a tank the size of our podcast table. Tony said he would be chilling and sometimes fish happen to jump out the tank and scoop them up and put them back in. B-real was often offered exotic pets in his career but Tony asks if anyone offered a Chupacabra jokingly. Tony asks about people getting too high or expecting him and Cypress Hill to have the most fire weed and B reminds the podcast of the time a few people bit off more than they could chew. They hit some REAL OG and this girl couldn't handle it suspecting that it had been laced due to it being so strong but she was shut down because everyone else was fine and she had to be removed from the session. In that moment Tony, who isn't a regular smoker, started to feel the effect himself right now. Bobo still missing E-Zone and Tony split his drink and keep the good vibes going. Tony "The Rhodium Mixtape Documentary" which he considers the prequel to NWA's music. Tony wanted to show his contribution to hip hop via the Rhodium swap meet's owner. Tony also speaks on his history in Long Beach with VIP records. Even E-Zone remembers it as a historical monument to the hood and B-Real remembering the original what's my name video with Snoop Dogg. Tony and the Dr. was happy there was a misunderstanding between the podcast because it birthed the now going relationship that is long over due. E-Zone reminds the podcast that unfortunetly thats not how it happens with alot of the younger generation when it comes to internet beef resulting in lives being lost. Tony G who was a gate keeper and mentor to B in his early years, remembers bombing and forgetting his lyrics at the Radiotron. B-real had to remind everyone of Julio G, legendary DJ, and mellow Man ace were always holding down pop locking and break dancing. B goes into a story about a legend match up battle at Lynwood Park. It was Southgate VS Compton battle and Julio lived in Lynwood but went to south gate for school. Julio SERVED these fools, no pun intended. We take a short break as the magic curtain turns out to be ERIC BOBO SHOWING UP LATE but with the bottle of Mezcal in hand. E-Zone Makes more Dr-Ritas, Tony-A notes that the PAPA movement has made its way to his show as well. The Drinks kept flowing and the insane Asylum Doors opened up to the 5150's had their questions too along with some DEEP questions from Tony A The Wizard.

    Show notes

Monday and its day 1 of the 12 days of Greenthumb this holiday season! E-Zone and C-Minus catch up from the weekend and the podcast starts with B-real announcing the giveaway. The guys talk about bots on IG and spam online from fake accounts and click farms. B-Real remembers when a lot of celebs lost a lot of followers when that was found out and E-Zone talks about "these blue check mfkrs!" in his Sam Tripoli impression. The Dr. goes over the UFC fight this past saturday and Skinny Pablo pulls up highlights that make you appreciate that your arm is still attached to your body. E-Zone asks about fatalities in fighting and B-Real breaks it down that the fighters take on that understanding and responsibility when stepping into the ring. C-Minus talks about underground fights when hanging with the band Korn and front man Fieldy. They had to go through a series of checkpoints to know how to get in and it was a almost out of a movie, hosted in a wearhouse. E-Zone remembers going to a meat factory for a underground fight that took place once as well but says he never has been to an animal fights. E-Zone has been desensitized to chickens dying but two roosters fighting is a fight to the death. E-Zone theorizes if it was you vs 100 roosters charging you what weapon would be your weapon of choice. E-Zone picks the bat, B-Real choses machete and C-Minus goes with the bat as well because all the guys realize you can run out of bullets and you might not when. Skinny Pablo remembers family sending him videos from back in Guam of the rooster fights. After Strong-tone and Eitan gave Kiero some lessons his joint skills were announced to up to par finally by the Dr. We got an image of strong-tone from Teeny and B-Real noticed an Insane Asylum member say they were arrested while listening to Cypress Hill and he noted that he was arrested while making Cypress Hill music too. Skinny Pablo asks what songs was he most arrested to and we were told we would come back to that. The Dr. goes into detail though about Torrance Police pulling him and his boys over and the cops find B-Real's notebook with the first page of the book has the lyrics of PIGS. The cop reads the lyrics to this book and then asks the crew what they do and B-Real responded with "were rappers" and the cop said "next time you are writing your lyrics, remember a PIG gave you a break!" and let them go. Two days later the same two cops saw B-Real get off the bus and they found him after they realized he had warrants and took him in. C-Minus ponders what the thought process was for police when they heard them at the time and the Dr. let him know that most cops found it amusing that they flipped a nursery rhyme in that manner. The podcast goes into boxing and the up coming Mayweather exhibition with Logan paul coming up and bring up highlights of B-Real's cousin who was a professional boxer as well. C-Minus fills us in on the Mandolorian, the latest starwars series, and how the new episodes are shortening but the content is so captivating. E-Zone compares Star Wars to his generations similar love for Dragon Ball Z. While some fans even of Star Wars might be a casual or die hard fan. the doors open up to the Insane Asylum as the questions roll in and the joints are rolled up you don't want. The Dr. Greenthumb Podcast Ep. 143 | w/ The Godfather & Cali Blaise Dec 13, 2020
    Show notes

Thirsty thirsty kicks off with the Dr. having to apologize for Kiero rolled joints or, Kieroll's as it was dubbed, for being rolled so rushed and poorly done. Cali Blaise in the house with GF aka the GODFATHER as well were not pleased but the Dr did apologize but explained Eitan and Pedro the resident rollers for B-Real and E-Zone as well were out of the office and Kiero stepped up when needed but only got an E for Effort sadly. The Godfather did tell a story about him trying nugentics as he said he would last time he was on the episode. It was a wild one that he shared when he was at the gym while taking it him to "another level" E-Zone surprised the guys and arrive to the show just in time to play the hotbox.

The Dr. Greenthumb Podcast Ep. 142 | (Rolling Skills, Bob Dylan Music) Dec 13, 2020
    Show notes

SALUTE TO THE INSANE ASYLUM here at the Dr. Greenthumb on a Wednesday! Big shout out to everyone who saw the Hotbox game yesterday that C-Minus won. The guys welcome Eitan to the podcast as E-Zone is out on business. The podcast kicks off with rolling discussions with a shout out to the artisan rollers like Tony Greenhands and Weavers. Skinny P brings up a picture from the 5 pound bazooka blunt we smoked many years ago. Eitan gets a review on his rolling skills. Sports ball talk begins and with only football going on, the Dr. cheers on the Kansas City Chiefs right now because the boom in child births when they won last year. The chat room lets us know how they feel about Eitan while B-Real tells stories of Eitan holding it down on tour in Europe. B-Real talks about living in the hollywood hills for a time where his neighbors didn't like his stance on cannabis. The Dr. flew a weed flag up and the vandalism against his property and cars ensued after. Feces were even smeared on his car and windows busted trying to make him want to move out that area. At the time, a neighbor of his was Robert Patrick, movie star. Nobody would mess with him B-Real would say because he had a very intimidating face. "Blanch" is a name of an old lady C-Minus makes up and ties a hilarious voice to as well. Bob Dylan recently signed his publishing over for an astounding $300 million! B-Real talks about how he can just make music for fun now and retire. Skinny Pablo details how UMG gets the rights to his music and any covers or samples would get them paid for the for stable future. The Dr. also mentions that if one movie can use one of his songs and blow it up and make them their money back. Jim Morrison birthday today C-Minus asks if anyone has a favorite The Doors song. 5 to 1 is C minus undeniably his favorite and break on through being a brilliant piece of music. The podcast gets into boxing and the current Mayweather fight but past legend Camacho and his bouts with legends. Camacho had to fight his idle at one point which C-Minus claims he could never and if he had to DJ battle his DJ mentor he wouldn't. Unfortunately he passed away due to unfortunate terms but his documentary is out and highly recommended by the Dr. Eitan and the podcast talk about shows they have been watching lately. C-Minus has a rule that after one season if he finds it wack he won't waste more time into it. Two more episodes left for the Mandolorian, all on the podcast is agree its dope but Skinny Pablo doesnt enjoy it, he would rather watch documentaries on youtube about history. Break dancing was introduced to the olympics, as it should be. The DGTP team theories how it would be judged and if each country would have their own DJ too. Weightlifting was eliminated from the Olympics oddly but it seems more of a liability issue for why it was erased. Important PSA, dont over lift or you will blow your O ring out. the doors open up to the Insane Asylum as the questions roll in and the joints are rolled up Description recap by @kieroglyphics on IG/Twitter Be sure to watch the full episode and leave a comment below! thank you Insane Asylum! join on discord.

E-Zone makes it clear you should only smoke with your girls or significant other. B-Real asks himself all the time why does it take so long for people to smoke their joints.
