Gianmarco also tries a new bit with Russell that bombs spectacularly and he spirals about it for the rest of the episode. Dedicated to the memory of Russell's dog, Hennessy. Emma Willmann (My Crazy Ex Girlfriend) and Gianmarco have collectively failed the driving test 11 times but Emma is the only one who once tried to bribe a cop from giving her a speeding ticket by offering him unlimited period panties from the period panties company sponsoring her podcast. That company is now out of business but she swears it had nothing to do with the incident. We talk about the downsides of non-realistic strap-ons, opening for Louis CK and honestly the whole cop bribing story should have been enough for you to just listen so I’m not even going to list a third thing. Jessica Frey (Sense & Sensibility, Netflix's The Characters) shares the one or two downsides of giving birth during a global pandemic. This was originally going to be a Patreon-exclusive episode but her story was so good that felt like releasing Lord of The Rings on Peacock. We talk about the horrors of holding babies on roofs, facts about women's bodies me and my co-host should have already known, and just how much poop comes out with the baby. Moose and bears and pedophiles, oh my! Stand-up comedian/Alaskan SALLYANN HALL (winner of the 2017 She Devil Comedy Festival) joins us to talk about the downsides of growing up in Alaska, getting a dog in quarantine, being an au pair to a family of Italian jockeys, and pornography. Gianmarco also talks about how he almost got put on the no-fly list from yelling “F#CK” (to himself!) at an airport in Wisconsin. This is a very negative/good episode. On what was supposed to be the first episode of The Downside, my co-host's wife was in a room with someone who had coronavirus so he couldn't join, which felt fitting given the "theme" of this "podcast". Thank god my guest was stand-up comedian/friend JAY JURDEN. We talked the downsides of growing up in Mississippi, being in a throuple, and the only person I would let eat my @ss. Are you allowed to be graphic in these podcast episode descriptions? We'll see!
