    The Doctor Who Audio Dramas

    The Doctor Who Audio Dramas is the world’s longest running family friendly production of Doctor Who. Started in 1982, this series spans eight Doctors, a host of companions, and over 200 stories. Thousands of episodes are downloaded every month. New episodes appear on iTunes two weeks after they premier on the main website.     The universe is full of darkness and pain. Whether it is the cruelty of a tyrant, the peril of an invasion force, or the injustice of a murderer getting away with their crime, life can be hard and unfair. But there is a force for good out there, fighting against these threats to our continued existence. They are making the universe a better place. Not simply vigilantes doing what the law cannot, they are giving people the chance to improve their lives and be better. Their influence is spreading and soon, everyone will have heard the Voice of Reason.

    The Doctor isn’t convinced that the Voice of Reason is the benevolent force they claim to be, but what can he do when the universe won’t listen to him anymore? He’ll need all the help he can get, but how can he be sure who to trust?

    Zanzibiam Querell isn’t the sort of planet you want to get stuck on – a lesson the Doctor and Bess learn the hard way when the TARDIS, like so many spaceships before it, crash-lands there. Strange noises echo through the dark trees and they soon find themselves separated, forced to fend for themselves.

    It doesn’t take long for the Doctor to team up with Esterk, an Ockenwii scientist with an unpleasant past. Together, they try to find a way off this inhospitable planet. But what is causing all these ships to crash? And with the TARDIS out of action, will they be trapped there for the rest of their lives?

    The companion tries to help the desperate survivors of other crashes. Tensions are high and resources are low. When life in the camp goes from bad to worse, eyes turn to the newcomer, and with fewer and fewer people on her side, Bess is in danger of being a scapegoat for their troubles.

    As the Doctor learns the horrible truth about Zanzibiam Querell, Bess learns how far people are willing to go in order to survive, and all the while, something sinister is hiding in the shadows – something that will scare even the Doctor!

    Two runaways, Bess and Joan, flee into the forest, where they encounter a traveling troupe of players led by local landowner’s daughter Mary Arden. This place of sanctuary is full of creativity and opportunity, but there’s more to Mary’s “lessons” than meets the eye. Does she truly only want the best for everyone, as she claims?

    Timaeus is an angry centaur. He has been used and mistreated, and he wants justice. Armed with his bow and arrows, he plans to stop his enemy, if only his target wasn’t so elusive. But does he know where to draw the line or will there be blood on his hands?

    The Doctor has come to the 16th century on the lookout for a legendary bird, the phoenix. Yet he’s barely out of the TARDIS when he gets caught up in Timaeus’ plot for revenge, Mary’s quest for betterment, and the lives of the troupe members. To save everyone from the dangerous machinations of an old enemy hiding in the trees, the Doctor will need all the help he can get, especially that of his latest travelling companion, Crackers the parrot.

    The TARDIS offered an opportunity to run away, one that couldn’t be ignored. When your world is turned upside down and you no longer feel at home, how could you not dream about the possibilities of all of time and space? It was the ultimate chance to get away from the difficulties of life. But there comes a moment when you can’t run anymore, when you have to go back and face the music.

    Her family needs her. It’s time for Georgie to go home. Except life with the Doctor means nothing is ever simple and in the throes of a heart-breaking reunion, Georgie will face the toughest choice of her life.

    And when she encounters a problem even the Doctor can’t solve, will she be able the resist the temptation of a happy ending that will have disastrous consequences for the rest of the planet?
