Hey there Dive fans! We have a DOOZY for you this week as we deliver a special 2 parter episode. We kick things off with Azael, Kobe & Mark to chat about the first week of LCS play & then we invite League of Legends Developers Riot Phroxon & Riot TrueXY to talk about the durability update and where they see the game evolving moving forward.
You may notice some inconsistencies in how they address both sections, we decided to put the League Dev discussion on the 2nd half of the episode after the initial recording, so apologies for any confusion that may cause.
On the LCS side, Kobe delivers some of that sweet CLG & Cloud9 hopium, while Mark peddles some for FLY... but Azael sure wasn't buying. Then in the discussion with the League devs, we talk about the state of scaling, how regions influence balance & how items impact our perception of durability.
Also, you may notice we experienced some technical issues during recording that resulted in a few times our mics going out. While we resolved the issues shortly after the 3rd time this happened, we weren't able to recover the audio after the fact. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for your patience while we resolve these hiccups.
We weren't able to get to your questions this week, but we hope you continue to leave them in the Youtube Comments below, on Twitter or on Anchor.FM so we can cover your thoughts on the LCS as it developsThe LCS returns this Saturday with the premiere of the Zven & Berserker bot lane as Cloud9 faces Dignitas at 1:30PM PT, see you there!
Happy Summer Dive Fans! Raz joins Mark & Azael for our start of split Power Ranking Episode! Kobe was too afraid to defend his takes CLEARLY, but we took down his power rankings so he can't double back.
The trio run down the changes heading into Summer & how this turned out to be the hardest split to judge relative powers of all the teams! They also share their thoughts on the new patch, a certain upcoming League of Legends mockumentary called Players out on Paramount+ now!
Next week, we'll be joined by 2 League devs to talk about the changes, so please leave your questions either below, on twitter or on Anchor.FM so we can share your thoughts on the state of the meta.
We're excited to hear your thoughts? Who is the runaway for first? Who do you have competing for a spot in Playoffs? Leave your thoughts here and make sure to tune into the start of LCS split tomorrow! Evil Geniuses faces Cloud9 at 2:30PM PT, see you there!

Hello Dive Fans! We have our Finals Playoff Preview message and that will mark the last episode of The Dive for the Spring Split. To celebrate, Mark & Azael are joined by special guest Emily Rand FRESH off the EG vs. C9 series... like they recorded this 30 minutes after that series concluded.
The trio give their raw thoughts on EG's 3-0 stomp over C9, how much draft "matters" when it comes to the big stage & what they love about this Evil Geniuses roster, who've booked their ticket to Houston!
A reminder that tickets are on sale for the Spring Finals in Houston, you can get information on how to get your set of tickets here: https://twitter.com/LCSOfficial/status/1507401972437057541?s=20&t=ySRE4Hc5BlHq0c8rr7FH5w
Thank you for all the questions all split long, they've really made the episodes that much better, if you continue sending questions, we'll try to get them in when we return in the Summer. Spring Finals Weekend kicks off Saturday in Houston with Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid. Winner faces 100 Thieves for the title!
Happy Final week of playoffs Dive fans! We've got our final 4 teams of playoffs and with that no shortage of subjects for Mark, Kobe, & Azael to cover. They kick things off by celebrating the LEC Champs, G2, & sharing their thoughts on the ever evolving Champions Queue discussion. A quick note that this was recorded BEFORE the Champions Queue article dropped, so the conversation is unfortunately a little dated.
Then the gang jumps into Patch 12.7, where they arrive at the shortlist of champions you GOTTA keep an eye on and I wish I could section that part off and save all that precious freelo for me. For those looking at the description for tips: Wukong Jungle, Ban Karthus & build Umbral Glaive. Kobe is still addicted to Illaoi top, there's no saving him.
Thank you for all of you who send in questions every week! We only had time for 1 question from the LCS studio, but we appreciate all your questions from Youtube, Twitter or Anchor.FM. Hoping to get more of those featured throughout the year.
The weekend kicks off with 100 Thieves vs. Team Liquid to determine who seeds directly onto the Finals in Houston. That match kicks off at 1:30PM PT, don't you miss it!
Hey there Dive fans! With playoffs fully in swing, we've got another jam-packed episode from our usual gang, Azael, Kobe, and Mark. They discussed each of their Power Ranking Records (shoutout to @lolpodcastmeta for the breakdown via twitter), whether player report cards were actually motivating players, and discussed Danny's status with playing Champions Queue.
Then we shifted over to questions from fans (yes, you!) regarding which team should be sent to MSI, The Dive's take on what C9 needs to practice to make a lower bracket run, C9 vs GG, and the best top laners.

Look at all these beautiful Dive fans! Playoffs are around the corner & we've got a THICC episode with the classic crew Azael, Kobe & MarkZ. The trio get hyped at just the THOUGHT of seeing fans again, talk about Santorin and the jungler's journey to being one of the best, & go through the playoff Patch BEFORE we even touch on the playoff matches.
There was also a fun interlude where an unprompted light show takes center stage (sorry audio listeners), a LOT a talk about whether teams should be upset about a patch this close to playoffs & we got an Anchor.fm question that asks if Summit's week 8 performance puts into question his MVP candidacy.
Then we wrap things up by looking at our first 2 playoff matches C9 vs. 100 & TL vs. EG!
Also they were hella potty mouths this episode.
