In this special episode of The Dive, Kobe & Mark welcome for the first time LPL caster Dagda to give us his thoughts on Play-Ins & the upcoming Group Stage. If things look odd, it's because our fantastic tech team ships necessary equipment to New York City & we had to step away from our usual cameras for The Dive. For those of you wondering about Divephoria, that's next week! (When the Euphoria folk land in NYC) We went forward with this format because it just seemed weird to not do SOMETHING ahead of the Groups Stage.
The Trio reviews the highs of the Play-In Stage, take some time huff hopium all thanks to Champions Queue & made predictions heading into the Group Stage. Where will we find the upsets? What teams are worthy of the hopium? What teams are overrated? If you like Dagda's comfy poncho, check it out at merch.riotgames.com to pick up one of your own. Anecdotally, our producer is def getting one it's perfect for being a degen gamer BUT FASHION.

The Worlds Group stage kicks off with another EU vs. NA matchup, Cloud9 vs. FNC at 2PM PT/5PM ET on Friday. Don't you miss it!

They go over a question from our editor (Shoutout to Manny) & gauge how this week's series has changed their perspective on teams for the rest of the bracket.

Hey Dive Fans! Welcome to another Playoff edition of The Dive where Kobe, Mark & Azael wanted to get the episode to you early since games are starting tomorrow at 1PM!
We dive (get it?) into the matchups from this weekend and ask, Can GG actually do a miracle run? Did CLG throw more than they got outplayed? and is there a Team Liquid Honda hate train going on?
Thank you for the positive response from The Diveys, we got some great alternative suggestions for Funnies play of the year & we straight up whiffed on missing the Taliyah Wall. We also took a few of your twitter questions ahead of the big match ups this weekend.

Hello Esteemed Dive voting body and WELCOME to the first SPLITUAL Diveys presented by Kobe, Mark & Azael. In a week of awards with MONUMENTOUS importance, it's nice to get to the categories that somehow manage to be MORE monumental.
The Trio starts the first edition of The Diveys with the following categories: Best Game Of the Split, Best Play Of The Split, Funniest Play Of The Split, Best Individual Performance of The Split, Most Tragic Moment Of The Split & finally Best Out of Game Performance. Who do you think should run away with the first ever Diveys? Who was snubbed? What categories did we miss? Leave your comments below as we kick off this new tradition!
On top of the Diveys, the trio got through their difficulties with All Pro Voting. What Role do you think is the most difficult? Can you guess which one had the most contention? We also ran through the Dive Power Rankings which had CLG & Dignitas causing an especially large amount of mayhem.
We couldn't get to questions this week, but a reminder that if you tweet them, use #TheDiveLol and if you send them on Anchor.FM, include your name in the audio! As Playoffs ramps up, make sure to send in your hottest takes & questions so we can follow through the Playoffs action.
Other than that, it's time for Playoffs! Tune in Saturday where FlyQuest challenge Team Liquid Honda at 1:00PM PDT with CLG facing C9 the next day at the same time. See you there!
Hello Dive Constituents... I'm pretty sure I didn't use that word right, but it FEELS right, ya know? This week it's Azael, Mark & Kobe taking a look at the landscape of the LCS ahead of the END OF THE REGULAR SEASON. That's right, this is the last week of the regular split and it's a ding dang Super Week.
Before the went through the games, the trio looked at the Top LCS Mids of All Time & wondered if Pobelter really gets the credit he deserves or does recency bias color his legacy?
We also answered some of your twitter questions including what they thought about Live Comm listen ins & what was their favorite season of League EVER. After a look at new Udyr & a quick patch discussion, they cover the BREAKING NEWS that came through DURING THE DIVE, where Golden Guardians let go of their general manager & speculated how that might impact the starting rosters going into the final superweek.
When it came to the top teams, there was also hefty debate on whether 100 Thieves are getting the credit they deserve. Are the narratives unjustly painting them as a boring team? Is CLG's depiction of a team that can "lose to anyone" fair? Let us know in the comments below!
Thank you to those who sent in questions. A reminder that if you tweet them, use #TheDiveLol and if you send them on Anchor.FM, include your name in the audio! We couldn't get to the audio question this week because we started late, but I'll make sure to throw them in next week. Which reminds me, next week The Dive is hosting their END OF SPLIT AWARDS Ceremony! What awards would you like to see? I'm gunning for spiciest tweet and assuming all 4 nominations will be Vulcan.
Superweek is upon us! Tune in Friday where Dignitas challenge Team Liquid Honda at 2:30PM PDT. In the words of Azael, it's gonna be a banger!
Hey Dive Fam & any Randoms who join us on this fortunate day. We've got Emily Rand joining Kobe & Mark to argue over the REAL MVP candidates of the LCS this split & what problems teams need to cover heading into the end of the Regular Split.
They kick things off with reviewing the Top 5 LCS All Time lists for Top Lane & Jungle, where they argued Meteos' placement & what it would take for Blaber to take the #1 spot from the iconic Xmithie.
Then they speculate on the starting LCS roster for Golden Guardians & how it could shake up their Playoff chances. After that, the trio goes completely off the rails and discusses MVP candidates. Inspired is the clear front runner, but is there a dark horse candidate people are sleeping on? (There are a few)
Then they review the tragic weekend for Immortals, the exciting weekend for TSM & what they predict to be the 3 North American teams heading to Worlds. Finally, they take a trip down memory lane and share their FAVORITE LCS Finals ever. What is y'all's favorite? I'm a diehard CLG fan so it's either MSG or Las Vegas for me.
Thank you to those who sent in questions. A reminder that if you tweet them, use #TheDiveLol and if you send them on Anchor.FM, include your name in the audio! We love hearing from y'all!
Hello Dive homies, we've got a doozie of an episode for you today as Azael, Kobe & Mark welcome IMT's coach Invert to talk game balance & the upcoming patch!
But before that, the trio goes over Golden Guardians' HUGE pick up of River, what that means for the Dignitas Franchise & Soul stepping back from the LCS (by his own choice).
Then Coach Invert joined us from Immortals to talk about the direction of the game, how laning might actually matter in the pro scene now & whether Leblanc will be a complete terror in League. Then Azael, Kobe & Mark go COMPLETELY off the rails & cover the teams all willy nilly (as they should... they know this stuff better than our boomer producer). Kobe gets hyped for CLG (again), Mark diagnosis "the problem" with Team Liquid & Azael weighs in on FlyQuest as they soar up in the standings.
Sorry to those of you that send in questions! We'll get to our backlog next week. A reminder that if you tweet them, use #TheDiveLol and if you send them on Anchor.FM, include your name in the audio! We love shouting out our fans.

The squad shared their thoughts on TSM's recent coaching swap and where they see this rejuvenated squad going. Plus, they talk about the newest format change to LDL, Fearless mode, and whether this would promote or hamper the growth of players in North America. They are pretty divided on the topic so leave your opinions below! They also talk about the upcoming Pro focused balance changes & whether Nilah is actually still broken after her hotfix nerfs. The bunch then dives into the LCS teams: Are EG unstoppable? What does success look like for Team Liquid Honda? How competitive is the middle of the pack & are teams using Swain to their full potential?
Thank you for those of you that send in questions! A reminder that if you tweet them, use #TheDiveLol and if you send them on Anchor.FM, include your name in the audio! We love shouting out our fans.Games kick back off Saturday with EG facing off against CLG at 1:30PM PDT. Make sure you tune in to capture all the action!
