Let's take it back to the vault!
Back in 2022, I hosted a Degrassi Acting Workshop based on the real workshops used on the show. This bonus podcast was upload to Patreon for subscribers only. Now, it's available to YOU!
Check out patreon.com/degrassikid for more up to date bonus content from your favourite podcast.
Original Description:
Today, you'll be working in groups. You'll be partnered with Kathleen, Joey, Lucy, Wheels and Maya!
Together, you'll complete Homework Assignment #1 - Acting Workshops (Level 3).
The idea is to think about how your character would respond to questions like "Describe your parents," "What makes your locker unique?" and "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"
Remember, a character like Joey might say he has no flaws, even though the audience would gladly correct him. While Kathleen might have a detailed list on what's keeping her from being 100% perfect.
This week, we'll go through each character responses and analyze them for how closely they match to their on-screen performances.
We'll see how Neil Hope takes on the persona of Wheels and answers questions about his social life and homework. We'll see how much Anais Granofsky opens up about Lucy's absentee parents and the effect it has on her family. And we'll learn how Kyra Levy connects with Maya, a disabled student in high school.
Compete your own Homework Assignment and become one of the Degrassi Junior High Acting Graduates! 🎓
303 - Joey's getting married? Caitlin's cheating? And one of our favourite characters ends up dead? This was bound to be a summer you'd never forget.
This week, we go through a piece of Degrassi's history - the original outline for the Degrassi: School's Out movie. Written in 1990, this first draft was created a full two years before the film was eventually released on television. Only on The Degrassi Kid Podcast can you get a complete break down of this never before seen script.
If you're a Degrassi fan, this podcast is for you.

Back in October 2022, we sat down for an exclusive Degrassi fan chat. Degrassi fans wrote in and answered their questions.
"
That's a wrap on Season 2!
What's the plan for Season 3? How do lesbians feel about Eli Goldsworthy? And was Jay Hogart originally meant to be Darcy's older brother?
This week, we wrap up the series by asking your burning questions."

"Should queer actors be hired for queer roles? When has Degrassi gotten this right and.. when have they gotten it wrong?
This month, we're looking at iconic queer characters like Marco, Adam, Tristan and Fiona - and how their real life actors felt about taking on queer storylines. While also responding directly to what you had to say on Patreon!"
