    The Defender Podcast collection is a ministry of Lifeline Children’s Services where we seek to equip the body of Christ to manifest the gospel to vulnerable children and families.     Jennifer Nichols is the Commissioner of the Department of Children's Services for the state of Tennessee. Commissioner Nichols was appointed by Governor Bill Lee in January 2019. Under Commissioner Nichols’ leadership, in 2021 the Department implemented the Family First Prevention Services Act, the most comprehensive legislative child welfare reform in 25 years that will provide evidence-based prevention services for children and youth at risk of entering foster care.

    Lynn Beckett, Education Specialist and parent coach at Lifeline Children's Services, received her bachelor of social work from the University of Georgia in 1981. She worked in the area of foster care and adoption in Georgia and Virginia before joining Lifeline staff in 1989. She became a TBRI® Practitioner in 2016. Lynn feels that it is an incredible privilege to be able to be a part of this ministry that is so committed to the care of orphans both here in the States and around the world. Lynn is married to Brian and they have two daughters.
