"DR. Larry Widman" We all have different skills. All sets, and I don't have a lot of great ones. But one of them is I can read people so quickly. You have to be able to give assessments and observations of somebody that makes sense to them. I always say, you know, a person has to hit a baseball before the ball even releases the hand, because they spend thousands of hours practicing and their brain takes in all this information of where the movement is and how fast it's moving. You can't even compute it, it happens so fast, and you have to make a decision and how to swing before the ball is released or right after it's released. You have a split second to make a decision. When you spend thousands of hours observing people, you know, I mean, you have a chance to be a horse whisperer in that sense.
CDR Jack Riggins USN (SEAL) RET. It’s nothing different in SEAL team, nothing beats experience. Having experience in real time to hone your craft, and to keep learning these things, whether you understand them or not. pays off.
