Today I am finishing Chapter 2 of As a Man Thinketh, and I would to hear from you regarding what you might have learned or applied from the principles from the first couple chapters. So, please contact me through the daily mastermind instagram or facebook pages and let me know your thoughts. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the second half of Chapter 2, and this poem from the end of the chapter.... "So you will be what you will to be; Let failure find its false content In that poor word, "environment," But spirit scorns it, and is free. It masters time, it conquers space; It cowes that boastful trickster, Chance, And bids the tyrant Circumstance Uncrown, and fill a servant's place. The human Will, that force unseen, The offspring of a deathless Sour, Can hew a way to any goal, Though walls of granite intervene. Be not impatient in delays But wait as one who understands; When spirit rises and commands The gods are ready to obey." How to Stop Pursuing and Start Attracting More Success Dec 05, 2022
    Show notes

Jim Rohn said, “Success is not to be pursued. It is to be attracted by the person you become.”

I love that! Why? Because I've utilized this in my life. You see, I've pushed for everything, I've worked hard for everything I had my life, because I felt that if I worked hard, I would get the things and the lifestyle that would make me happy and help to fulfil me.

What I learned later in life is that things don't really make you happy. As I grew and became more and more successful, I decided that I was going to start living a life on purpose. That will make me happy.

I started to do more things that provided short term gratification, but also things that would help me to be happy. And I finally learned the ultimate lesson … that you need to be able to work hard and take massive action. But you also need to learn to attract the life that you truly want to live. You need to take action but also allow space for attraction of the success and prosperity you are seeking.

Learn to leverage the Law of Attraction

You must leverage the Law of Attraction to attract what is best for you and your life. You'll do that as you become a better and better person. You’ll benefit from this Law of the Universe. Take massive action and allow space for attraction.

Now you’ve probably seen or read The Secret which covers the Law of Attraction. The principal, however, has been around since the beginning of time. There are many resources you can master about the Law of Attraction, even inside of The Daily Mastermind app.

I truly believe that most don't ultimately understand this Universal Law. This is a Universal Law of prosperity. Bob Proctor does an amazing job teaching a lot about the Law of Attraction because he talks about it a little differently.

He explains about it being two distinct laws, actually: the Law of Vibration (primary) and the Law of Attraction (secondary). These two laws work together in harmony and the more you understand them, the more you can use them to create your life.

What do you need to do to grow and attract more success into your life?

    • learn to increase your confidence.
    • increase your energy so you’re operating at a higher frequency
    • develop your mindset
    • shift your paradigm; the view you have of the world
    • create focus with specific intentions of where you want your life to go

What are the strategies you can do to attract more success in your life?

    DAILY RITUALS

Daily rituals will help you increase your confidence and your energy level—two for one.

    DAILY AFFIRMATIONS

To grow your mindset and change your paradigm, have daily affirmations. This will allow your subconscious and conscious mind to go to a whole new level. So, write out your affirmations and repeat those morning and night, or writing them down and having them in front of you is a very solid strategy.

    LIFELONG LEARNING

Next, lifelong learning that we just talked about a few days ago. Lifelong learning will definitely help you attract success in your life as you grow.

    SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY

Fourth, surround yourself with successful people. Surrounding yourself with more successful, prosperous, happy, and fulfilled individuals will expand your life. That frequency and that attraction is going to happen even at a higher degree for you with the higher vibe of those around you.

    INCREASE YOUR FAITH

Lastly, the strategy that I really want to emphasize is faith. Yes, faith. Faith is simply a decision to have confidence that good things will happen for you in your life. This is different than belief. Belief will come as you grow your actions, creating new experiences, and your belief will begin to change. But faith is a decision.

You can choose to believe that success is going to be attracted into your life.

Albert Einstein said, “Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics."

Do your part to work with Universal Laws, and the energies of your life will bring the success you desire. I know that you have greatness inside of you. Now get going!

Thank you for supporting and listening to the Podcast. Please share it with someone you know.

How to Eliminate Worry, Anxiety & Stress Dec 01, 2022
    Show notes

Today I want to address some big topics of Stress, Anxiety Depression and Worry. When I find myself feeling these emotions I always go to my mentors like Dale Carnegie. He has some amazing advice and thoughts on this topic. But ultimately, its important to remember that even tho they seem overwhelming...Anxiety, worry and depression are Unnecessary, Self-inflicted and Conquerable. Learn how to stop worrying and start living. To effectively combat worry, it’s important to understand what causes it... The cause of worry is simple...It’s a result of focusing outside of the present—overthinking the past and harboring anxiety about the future. Each morning, you’re granted a limited amount of time and energy to focus, get things done, and make the best of your day—there’s only so much you can handle mentally and physically. However, Carnegie explains, worrying about the past and future creates additional burdens that use up your limited time and energy and distract you from focusing on what you need to do today. Carrying the weight of your worries overwhelms you, creates fatigue, and results in irrational thoughts that make small concerns appear more serious than they are. As a result, it creates unnecessary stress and anxiety. Causes of worry might be small but the affects on your health over time are big... Over time, even small, daily worries deteriorate your mental and physical health: you may experience symptoms such as depression, anxiety, ulcers, headaches, insomnia, cardiac issues, diabetes, and rashes. Solution: Focus on One Day at a Time The most basic way to combat worry is training yourself to shut your mind off completely from the worries of yesterday and tomorrow, instead focusing all your attention and energy on the present moment. This is essential to alleviating stress and anxiety. When you worry about the past and future, those stresses and anxieties get added to your present load—you’ll always be carrying three times the weight you need to. When you’re carrying the weight of excess worry, you’re easily stretched to your mental limits. This causes anxiety and unclear, disorganized thinking. On the other hand, shutting out worries about the past and future ensures that you’re only carrying one day’s worth of stress at a time, which allows you to keep your thinking clear and logical. Solution: The most foundational anti-worry tool is thoughtful analysis Analysis helps neutralize your emotions and breaks worrisome situations down to their basic facts so that you can look at them clearly and calmly. This allows you to make sound decisions and find the best possible solutions. Strategies for How to Break The Worry Habit Before It Breaks You Be so busy you don’t have time to worry. The mind is bad at multitasking. That’s why it’s hard to waste time and energy worrying if you’re too busy thinking or planning or taking action. Solution: If you find yourself ruminating and worrying, try occupational therapy. Take a second job. Fill the day with meaningful tasks. Keep your imagination working. Lose yourself in action. Get busy getting busy and you won’t worry about worrying again. Don’t let problems get you down. It’s more often small problems than big ones that lead to arguments and irreconcilable differences. Even though the small ones should be easiest to let go. The best way to not let small things worry you is to...

    • Remind yourself how much worry is wasted on trivialities;
    • Compare the problem to a truly serious (e.g., life-threatening) problem; and
    • Resolve to be a bigger person than the problem that’s in front of you.
To a size 3 person, a size 4 problem feels insurmountable. To a size 10 person, a size 4 problem feels negligible. So be a size 10 person, or at least put your size 4 problems into context. Don’t stress about problems of little, passing consequences. And remember, “life is too short to be little”. Work out how (un)likely things really are. Many things we all waste time worrying about are really unlikely to happen. The point here is NOT to start worrying about probabilities. The point is to realize how unlikely our nightmares really are. Understand the tiny probabilities of whatever you’re worried about occurring. Find solace in the law of averages. And in the unlikely event that those probabilities turn out to be meaningful…take action... Accept what can’t be changed. There’s no point in fighting the inevitable. The good news? You can survive and adapt to almost anything. You've already been through so much in life...you can handle this too... Of course, if there’s still a chance of saving a situation, you should fight for it. But the moment something’s clearly inescapable: surrender, adapt and make the most of it. Remember, you are stronger and more resourceful than you think. So, have faith in your ability to adapt and endure and survive. Stop worrying about and fighting against change. Worrying is bad for your mental and physical health. It's important to find ways to cope with anxiety and stress so that you can live a happier, healthier life. One way to do this is to keep yourself busy so that you don't have time to worry. Another way is to focus on the present moment and accept what you cannot change. Lastly, remember that you are stronger than you think and that you can handle whatever comes your way. Thanks for listening... George Wright III

Daily Ritual Tips & Strategies Nov 22, 2022
    Show notes

This week I’d like to dig a bit deeper into daily rituals and give you some ideas and thoughts that might help you to create a winning formula for success on a daily basis. I hope you will take these tips and ideas and make them your own. Find a way to spend time planning out your daily rituals, because you can really level up with the right plan for your day. Set Yourself Up for Success The most important thing you need to realize with daily rituals is that you must set yourself up for success, or your rituals will become a source of frustration and disappointment. We have all had big aspirations when we set a new goal or new years resolution. We have also experienced disappointment when we don’t follow through due to circumstances outside our control due to a lack of motivation or willpower. So, it’s critically important that you set yourself up “in advance of each day” to make it easy to follow through on your rituals. Alexander Graham Bell Said, “Before anything else, Preparation is the key to success.” You can set yourself up for success by preparing the night before, scheduling your rituals into your day, and even making sure the time of day is the most likely time to eliminate distractions. Also, keep in mind that starting your day with rituals is preferred in order to get you moving on the right path, but you should schedule time for your rituals when you are at your “best” in order to be most effective. Many times you will have routines and rituals that you do throughout the day. I personally begin my day with morning rituals and end my day with a different set of evening rituals. This helps me to start my day out right and also end my day by winding down. When I do this, it allows me to create more energy in the morning and relax for better sleep in the evening. Choose the Right Rituals The next thing you will want to do is choose the rituals that are best for you. Each of us struggle with different things in our lives, and I always try to create daily rituals that will help me to overcome challenges I have, as well as build up my strengths and motivation in key areas of my life. You can create daily rituals in all areas of your life, including but not limited to your Mind, Body, Spirit, Relationships, Finances, Business, Investing, or Lifestyle. Create rituals in areas of your life you feel you might need the most help in or will help benefit you the most. Ultimately I feel your Daily Rituals should Motivate, Inspire, or Educate you so that you can Create a Better Life. Here are just a few examples of Daily Rituals you could choose that I have personally benefited from over the years….

    • Prayer
    • Meditation
    • Affirmations
    • Workouts
    • Reading eBooks
    • Listening to Audiobooks
    • Listening to Podcasts
    • Nutrition & Supplements
    • Family Time
    • Gratitude Practice
    • Journaling
    • Studying or Education
    • Date Night
    • Music
    • Sleep
One more important thing I want to mention. Try to create a short list of rituals that align with your goals and objectives in your life. If you need to acquire a new skill maybe add that to your day. Or, if you are like me and don’t enjoy getting up in the morning, then an early morning workout is exactly what you need to get your body moving each day. Quality and Consistency over Quantity Remember the goal is to create rituals that help you in your life to stay on track and create healthy habits. It’s more important to have just a few key rituals that you do consistently, than to have a big list of rituals that you never seem to get done. I used to make a list to accomplish a ton of items each day. I wanted to make sure I crossed off the boxes in every single area of my life. But, I found that having a short list of 3-5 rituals in the morning and 3-5 rituals in the evening is the best for me. I have stayed far more consistent with a couple of core things to focus on and stay consistent with. I like what Tim Ferris says when he says that he has 3-5 rituals on his list, but considers it a “win” if he does just a few of them. Don’t overwhelm yourself with a long list of items. Remember, Consistent Effort is the Key to Success in Life… So many people start out trying to do anything and everything they can do to make change in their lives. But, they don’t stay consistent. They don’t stay consistent because they burn out and they don’t find a way to make their goals and desires a part of their everyday life. You need to create rituals that are part of your lifestyle and then you will be far more consistent for the long term. Make it a Routine If you make your rituals part of your daily routine, you will create strong habits that will last a lifetime. Plus, you will also have a structure to guide you through your day. Let me give you some examples of what I mean… I always workout first in the morning in order to get the blood flowing and get my mind awake. I’ve tried to study or meditate first in the morning, but I just think better (therefore more productive) when I meditate after a workout. Also, I always find that I can get far more accomplished (in less time) if I get my blood flowing first and then move on to other items on my list. Another example is that I like to journal and read at night, because it helps me to wind down my mind for better sleep. Now this doesn’t always work cause my mind almost never shuts off. But, when I journal at night, I can recognize my accomplishment or reflect on what I am grateful for and it helps me to acknowledge that I am moving forward and I can relax more. So, find ways to place your rituals in your “daily routine” so that you accomplish more and it also helps guide you through your day better. Create Accountability I want to talk with you about creating more accountability in your daily rituals for a few different reasons. First, having some accountability will help you maintain your consistency until it becomes a habit. Second, having accountability will help to motivate you when you are not “feeling it”. Finally, having accountability is a way for you to openly commit to your rituals rather than keep them to yourself. You see, many of us don’t want people to know that we are committed to our goals and dreams of creating success, losing weight, learning a new skill, because we are afraid of what people will say if we fail. Guess what? Who cares what other people think. Having daily rituals is for YOUR benefit, so find a way to hold yourself accountable so that you WILL follow through and you WILL have more success in your life. Rituals are not a contest and there is no such thing as Success or Failure with your rituals. It’s only about creating habits for success while Living Your Best Life…Period… Track Your Rituals With that said, I do feel it can be important to track your daily rituals. You’ve heard it before and I’ll continue to say it… What you focus on Grows. And what you Track you will Focus On. So, grab yourself a planner or a notebook, and start to record your rituals. You can even use your Mobile Device by just keeping track in your NOTES app. There are also plenty of mobile apps you can use like the Strides App for setting goals and lists each day. Most of the mobile apps I use for rituals also send me reminders and track my progress or “streaks” for how many days in a row I’ve been consistent. Apps like I mentioned last week are great for that. (Calm meditation, Day One journal, Daily Mastermind, Audible, etc.) Make Adjustments Also, do your best to create a routine but not get to a point where you are on autopilot. Take time once per week to identify if you are making progress toward your goals or if maybe you are hitting a plateau with your workouts and learning. Always make sure to create adjustments in your rituals, your routine, and your daily activities if you are not making the progress you desire. It’s great to create, track and maintain daily rituals, but you want to make sure that they are helping you to accomplish your goals and desires. Create a Win I have one last thing that I want to talk to you about with this topic of daily rituals, and that is this… Have patience with yourself. It’s not a contest. Don’t let your rituals become a source of frustration or disappointment. I used to really get down on myself when I didn’t make it to the gym or forgot to write in my journal. Rituals are there to help you to become the best version of yourself, not to help you become more critical of yourself. This is HUGE. Ultimately, if you are able to do even a couple of your rituals each day I encourage you to Mark it a Win in the Win Column of Your life. Your Goal each day is to Create a Win for yourself. The more wins you create the better you will feel, The more confidence and self esteem you will have, and The more you will Develop into the BEST VERSION of YOU. George Wright III
