Embrace The Struggle with Zig Ziglar Dec 01, 2020
    Show notes

Zig Ziglar was one of the all time great motivators in my life. He was a thought leader, wrote 27 books and spoke for me multiple times at large convention center events we held.

Today I want to share with you a small section of a book he wrote called Embrace the Struggle. He was 82 years old when he had a serious accident that left him really struggling in life. Despite this terrible event in his life, he was able to maintain an amazing view on his circumstances and (with the help of his daughter) wrote this book I will share with you.

I hope these thoughts give you a little inspiration and motivation to embrace the struggles you might be dealing with in your life, cuase we all have them. :)

Have a great day. Thanks for listening.

I've spent most of my life achieving levels of success that have allowed me to network and learn from some of the biggest names in the industry of Personal Development and Financial Education.

Most people don't realize that the experts and thoughts leaders struggle just like everyone else. However, some of the great leaders have just made the decision to visualize and manifest the best versions of themselves rather than getting caught up in the stories of their past. They find ways to create Blissful Dissatisfaction and love their lives while chasing greatness along the way.

I hope you enjoy todays thoughts. Thanks for listening.

Joe Rogan Says Be the Hero of Your Story Nov 25, 2020
    Show notes

    WOW...This is Episode 300. I can't believe it.

To celebrate I am simply going to include my rough random notes for this podcast and encourage you to listen and share this episode. lol

    I hope you enjoy...

Listened to a Powerful Audio from Joe Rogan…can’t even remember where. Love his passion, enthusiasm and simplicity of thoughts. He punches you in the face with truth. Obviously with some colorful language and examples, so I wont do it justice. But I want to share with you my notes and thoughts from what I remember from this. Joe Rogan 3 Rules that will change your life 1-live your life like you are the hero of your story write down what you want and go get it best advice…live your life like you are the hero everybody’s life is a disaster… pretend you are starting the movie and it shows you as a loser then decide NOT TO be that anymore do what you want that documentary to be what do you want your kids to see he loves a success story but you wanna know what’s better… massive failure that you TURNAROUND…get it back together gotta write it down…think you are the hero write down the story….craft the story…writing makes a difference most people just spiral. its annoying about people that just complain… nobody wants to be around people that are annoying 2-stop seeking comfort most people think you are gonna get to a destination where its easy nobody should want that…certainty is boring…we crave uncertainty we need to be stimulation and challenges…so stop trying to get rid of them its sad to see losers that stop trying and stop struggling and just GIVE UP nothing great about the easy road…crave the hard road crave the challenges…make it a game stop being part of the world that seeks comfort seek lessons and difficulty through those things you grow…yoga working out…legs…i hate it…it dont want to do it…but i end it and LOVE IT…can’t walk…can’t move but i have an AMAZING DAY BECAUSE OF IT the minute you are not doing anything you feel like crap hello depression, anxiety, low self esteem human reward systems are carved deeply int your DNZ if you dont respect that you will not WIN and will not be happy family, friendships, winning, learning, growing struggling, hurting, emotions, challenges ITS CALLED PART OF BEING HUMAN….START TO EMBRACE IT 3-90% of success is just showing up you gotta learn to create discipline in your life it will carry you through when you don't feel like doing things discipline helps you get things done… when you do things you have more success a big part of success is just doing something…just showing up. if you only act when you feel like it then you wont do it. you will be insecure, lazy, depressed, anxious and most importantly you will lose confidence, self esteem and happiness. everybody feels the same. there are days that require your to push through there will always be days you dont feel like doing the work there will be more of those days than the days you do feel like doing it. accept that. understand and be ok with ACTING IN SPITE OF MOOD and most importantly, its ok to just show up some days. showing up is 90% fo success. acting is 90%. its not just about the wins. its about the consistency. its about the discipline. nobody wants to get up early and work out. nobody wants to spend quality time when they are depressed or upset or tired. nobody wants to act in spite of their mood, but guess what? DO IT ANYWAY. LEARN TO PUSH PAST THE 40% MARK. LEARN TO CRAVE THE FIRE… stop being tired, lazy, unmotivated. start being a winner. start being a grinder start being a hero of your story. Push against resistance. Learn to recognize, crave and push past resistance. Have pride in your ability to work. in your ability to Show up. You gotta start recognizing the wins in life and showing up is a win. Final thought….I truly believe that most people doubt themselves and their abilities. they THINK they lack Self Confidence or maybe have low Self Esteem Understand this…there is a difference between self doubt, self esteem and self confidence. Learn to recognize and work on each Ed Mylett taught me an important distinction in these things -self confidence -self esteem -self doubt You overcome self doubt by growing confidence. you can grow confidence through your actions. Do More, Be More, Have more, Risk More through your actions and showing up. as Joe Rogan said…be the hero, stop looking for the easy, and just SHOW UP. do the work and you will get results and you will become more confident and eliminate your self doubt On a side note, Ed talks clearly about ways to increase confidence if you listen to his podcast 1-increase your competence by increasing your knowledge and abilities 2-believe in your ability to learn…even if you dont know something you can learn it. 3-increase belief in your self worth…your intrinsic value….all of us are born with greatness…believe it. Your intrinsic value, your self worth is not dependent on others or outside influences. PERIOD Make it a decision to decide that despite the odds, despite your history, despite your circumstances you are worth it. you have value. you are unique. because you are. #1 problem people make is that they base their self worth on OUTSIDE factors …appearance, social media, skills, resume, track record, money, etc You have self worth by deciding to have self worth. …sorry i got off on a tangent there, but lets circle back around to Joes Lessons… 1-Be the Hero 2-Stop seeking comfort 3-Just show up 3 simple rules with very specific things you can do to CHANGE YOUR LIFE if you are ready to move forward. if you are stuck at all (inside your head or life). if you are looking for a change, miracle, opportunity, new plan…. Bottom line….Be the Hero of Your Story and Write the Next Chapter. Thanks for listening George Wright III

The Obstacle is the Way Nov 23, 2020
    Show notes

Welcome back to the Daily Mastermind…

I’m super excited to change up our format of the weekly podcast episodes over the last 6 weeks of the year.

I’ve decided to mirror my own personal schedule throughout the end of the year in order to motivate and inspire you with the ideas, strategies and schedule that I am personally implementing to take things to the next level and start 2021 with Massive Momentum.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what you (my listener) wants, needs and benefits from the most. I realize that most people don’t have access to the experts, resources and support that I personally have in my life, so I am going to make an even greater effort to bring those resources, ideas and strategies directly to you…the same ones I am personally using to level up my various businesses, income and personal life.

So, what does that mean…well, here is what I intend to do over the next 6 weeks.

    Value: Personal, Business, Finances

Goal: Motivation, Inspiration, Education….to Unleash Your Potential

Strategy: to become a daily staple for you in your daily rituals, so you can (not only check the box) but feel like you are making progress by simply plugging into the show.

Weekly Schedule (Flexible as we dial it in)

Monday- Prosperity Principles & Motivation to start the week

Tuesday- Business Strategies to grow your business

Wednesday- Motivation & Inspiration with Guests and 7-Figure Mentors

Thursday- Financial Education to create, grow and protect wealth

Friday- Lifestyle & Ideas to carry you into the weekend

    Resources I will draw from:

    • PWA- longest running financial education company in the country with experts in asset, tax, estate planning, real estate & stock investing, and the top experts in all areas…(examples)
    • 7 Figure Mentors like best-selling authors, 7-9-Figure business owners, and Entrepreneurs “crushing it” in the markets.
    • Top Books, Resources, Mobile Apps and Business Tools I use for growing my multiple businesses and Revenue Sources.
    • Access to Tools, Services, Mentors, and Products…. not selling…won’t be selling on this podcast.

So, I encourage you to start making the podcast a part of your daily rituals in order to benefit not only from the topics and strategies but to create ROUTINE, CONSISTENCY AND COMMITMENT to taking your life, your business, and your finances to the next level.

Now with that said, I want to share with you a pretty important principle today that I feel will set you up for success over the coming weeks. It is the principle of PERSPECTIVE, ACTION and DETERMINATION.

I recently reread an amazing book by Ryan Holiday called, the Obstacle is the Way. I want you to pick up a copy when you get a chance. Ryan is a multiple times best-selling author and someone that has a unique perspective on life and business based on the idea of Stoicism which you’ve probably heard about if you listen to Tim Ferris or any current Entrepreneur Crushing it now days.

Let me explain the principle, the thoughts and some strategies you can use to Change Your Perspective and Your Life in a big way over the coming weeks…

    Preface Page 1

    Preface Page 2 PP 1 and 2

We are all facing Obstacles in our lives right now. It might be a business challenge; it might be loss of a job. It might be a relationship gone wrong that is affecting everything in your life. It might be health concerns or communication problems. It might even be a challenge that is with someone close to us or someone that we love and care about, but it is affecting our lives and challenging our mindset daily.

Whatever the challenge, these are usually things that really impact our daily lives. They are usually big obstacles that keep us “stuck inside our heads” or “paralyzed to move forward" in areas that we really need to be focused on in our lives right now. Well, this book and the thoughts that Marcus Aurelius is talking about area a BLUEPRINT (solution so to speak) for how we can not only Overcome these Obstacles but Turn the Obstacles into massive fuel for Growth. Let me explain…

What if "embedded inside the problems" we are facing or “inherent in it” were certain benefits…benefits only for you? What would you do if you knew that? Let’s be honest…probably nothing causes most of us are the same… we are simply paralyzed or stuck when it comes to massive obstacles in our lives. The reason for this is that stuff that blocks us is blocking us for a reason…Fear, Frustration, Depression, Anger…years and years of programming have us trapped inside our heads. Usually we know exactly what to do but simply CANNOT ACT…Right?

So why is it that some people can push through their problems and others can’t? Why do most of us get stuck and can’t seem to get past the same challenges that plague us week after week or month after month in our lives? There are men and women in life that have become famous because they have overcome their challenges and went on to become amazing leaders because they used the challenges or obstacles to propel themselves to amazing heights…the better versions of themselves. People like Abraham Lincoln, John D Rockefeller, Margaret Thatcher, Amelia Earhart, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan and on and on and on….

Why and How did all these people overcome massive obstacles to become Great and trust me they all had massive obstacles to overcome in their individual stories. Bottom line, all Great leaders and successful people find a way to turn Weakness into Strength. Like oxygen to fire, their obstacles become fuel to their internal fires that burned. All of these people learned to Flip their Obstacles upside down and turn them into Fuel.

And the crazy thing is that the process is pretty Simple…but as Holiday puts it…” never easy”.

It’s not about just “changing the way you look at things” …it involves thoughts, actions and commitment to a purpose…a philosophy in your life. This is what the idea of Stoicism entails.

The most important thing to remember from the start is that most problems that are keeping us stuck in life are INTERNAL not EXTERNAL problems in our lives. Most things that happen to us are things that we wrestle with in our minds and because of our perception to the obstacles and problems that we face. The key to overcoming these obstacles lies in another message from Marcus Aurelius….

Objective judgement, now at this very moment.

Unselfish action, now at this very moment.

Willing acceptance—now at this very moment—of all external events.

    That’s all you need.

I don’t have time to get into all the research, examples and stories…and trust me there are a TON of example and proof, but Holiday says…

Overcoming Obstacles is a Discipline of Three Critical Steps...Perception, Action, and the Will. All 3 of these steps are important to really and truly turning your obstacles into benefits and fuel in your life. You need to start by analyzing how you look at a problem…your Perception. Then you need to work on the energy, creativity and approach you use to break the problems down and turn them into opportunities. Finally, you need to cultivate and maintain an inner WILL that will help you to handle any defeat and difficulty.

I encourage you to read the book or download the audiobook (which I enjoy listening to while getting going for the day or doing cardio). He really breaks down these 3 areas and helps you to understand, break apart and then develop a strategy to work on all 3 of these areas. With your perception you need to understand and recognize your power, deal with your never and emotions, and learn to focus on the present moment. With your Responses and Actions, you will need to understand and focus on moving forward, being persistent, channeling your energy and sizing the moment to choose your direction. And with your WILL (part 3 of the process) you will need to practice discipline, find peace of mind and find motivation outside of yourself.

But I promise you that as you learn about the hundreds of stories and examples of people just like you and me that overcame the challenges and obstacle in their lives, it literally helps your perspective to change just through this process. When you realize that you are not the only one dealing with problems you face and that the Hero’s in the stories of life are not “super human” or even always “unique, gifted or rare”, you will start to learn that becoming Great is simply a process. A Path that each of us can choose to take if we will just apply some time-tested principles to our lives.

So…why do I pick this topic, this book, this idea of Stoicism to start the week?

Ultimately, I feel like it's time that each of us First recognizes that Our Perspective is the key to changing our results in life. Second, that there are specific and proven strategies to help us do this. And Third, that you are not alone and that you can change your life on a Dime and start to create the life you were truly meant to live. Let’s start to do the heavy lifting in life. Let’s be willing to do what it takes to accept that the road is difficult and (instead of struggling without happiness), lets learn to Struggle “intentionally” in order to Create more Happiness, Fulfillment and Success in our lives. That is the purpose behind why I do this podcast. That is what we are going to try and accomplish each morning that we spend 10-15 minutes with motivation, inspiration and education.

I am really glad you listened to this episode. I hope you will make the effort to tune in each morning and also SHARE this podcast with others. It would mean a lot to me and you would be surprised how many people you can help by simply referring them to positive messages like these. Help make a difference for others by sharing the podcast.

I hope you have an amazing week and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow for another episode.

    George Wright III

How to Engage in Focused Thinking Nov 18, 2020
    Show notes

Daily Mastermind Quote of the Day (in mobile app) Jack Canfield- "If you ask enough people, eventually someone’s gonna say yes." I believe one of the biggest problems we have in life is that we do not devote enough time to focusing on the Life we Want to Live, The Person we Want to Become, and the Goals We Desire to Achieve. I’d like to share some great wisdom today from a book I have on my desk in my office. by John C Maxwell: How Successful People Think Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life In order to become Successful in life, relationships, business or personally, I believe we need to strive to find time to Engage in Focused Thinking. Maxwell says that focused thinking will help you to remove distractions and mental clutter so that you can concentrate on an issue and think with clarity. He says it can do several things for you… 1- Focused Thinking Harnesses Energy Toward a Desired Goal -the greater the difficulty or size of problem the more focused thinking is required. 2- Focused Thinking Gives Ideas Time to Develop -sometimes to take ideas to the next level you need to shift from being expansive to thinking very selectively and this requires focused time on your objectives. 3- Focused Thinking Brings Clarity to the Target -to attain your goal you need to focus on a clear target and focused thinking will help you to clarify your goals and achieve them. 4- Focused Thinking Will Take You to the Next Level -in order to achieve greatness you must spend time specifically working on your talent and skills needed to achieve your goals. But, the question starts to form for most people, “Where should you focus your thinking?” Maxwell tells us that you should focus your thinking into 4 main areas: leadership, creativity, communication and intentional networking. He goes on to gives several steps to help you determine what those key areas should be specifically for you. 1- Identify your Priorities Start by listing out your priorities in each area of your life. Then, begin to narrow in on you strengths and the areas that are the best use of your talents and abilities. Obviously you should priorities the areas you get the biggest ROI and follow the 80/20 Rule. 2- Discover Your Gifts Most people are unaware of what their true strengths are. I like to follow the advice of one of my Mentors and Partners Robert Stuberg who talks about narrowing in your time and attention in your area of Unique Talent. This is represented by the things that you are Excellent and Passionate about. 3- Develop Your Dream I talk a lot about clarifying what your dream is. Maxwell talks about using Focused time to discover your dream if you are unsure what it is. I like to ask myself a key question if I ever feel stuck on what my DREAM really is…Try asking, “What do you want your life to be like?” The next step in implementing more Focused Thinking in your life is to Stay Focused while you are practicing this specific daily or weekly activity. You can do this by:

    • Removing Distractions
    • Making Specific Time for Focused Thinking
    • Keeping Items of Focus in Front of You
    • Setting Goals
    • Questioning & Tracking Your Progress
Finally, you must truly identify what you are going to sacrifice to find time and commit to Focused Thinking. After all, if your life is worth living, then its time to identify the areas of your life you can cut back on. In fact, you should be willing to give-up some of the things you love in order to focus on things that will make a major impact on your life and quality of life. Ultimately, I’d like you to ask yourself a critical question… Am i dedicated to removing distractions and mental clutter so that I can concentrate with clarity on Creating the Life I Truly Desire to Live, and Become the Person I would like to Be?

    Gratitude & Happiness Nov 17, 2020
    Show notes

Gratitude and Happiness You have probably heard and seen lately that there is a significant rise in depression, anxiety and stress in the world. This is obviously due in part to the Pandemic, but it is also magnifying the stress and anxiety that many people have been feeling for some time now. The rise in frequency and use of social media, and the fact that we live in a comparison type world makes it very difficult for people to be happy and grateful for what they have regardless of their situation. I know that it is a struggle for most right now to see and identify positive reasons to push forward and become optimistic for the future. But that is why it is so important to train your mind for gratitude. We must create daily practices for gratitude if we are going to combat the growing negativity in the world. And I truly believe that we can "train" ourselves to be more grateful and bring more happiness into our life. I've learned that gratitude is a practice and a strategy to create happiness in our lives and there are many many benefits of having a gratitude practice. I want to run through a list of them just to help you be aware and remind you of all the benefits it can offer you in your life. 28 benefits of Gratitude EMOTIONAL

    • happier
    • psychological well being
    • enhanced positive emotions
    • increased self esteem
    • reduced depression and anxiety
    SOCIAL
    • wider social network
    • better romantic relationships
    • improved friendships
    • increased social support
    • better family relationships
    PERSONALITY
    • increased optimism
    • increased spirituality
    • more giving
    • reduced materialism
    • increased gratitude
    CAREER
    • more effective leadership
    • reduced impatience
    • meaning in work
    • reduced turnover
    • reduced stress and better mental health
    HEALTH
    • reduced depression
    • lower blood pressure
    • improved sleep
    • increased frequency to exercise
    • overall health
Science Behind Gratitude I am not a scientist, but I have been intrigued by the amount of science that is coming out lately related to the simple practice of gratitude. How it works: When we express gratitude and receive gratitude, our brain releases dopamine and serotonin, the two crucial neurotransmitters responsible for our emotions...basically making us feel good. Neuroplasticity is the process by which we are training our brain to express and receive more gratitude... Neurons that fire together, wire together. It is not happiness that brings us Gratitude. It is Gratitude that brings us happiness. Cause and Effect. Use one as a trigger for the other... Why is this... The limbic system is the part of the brain that is responsible for all emotional experiences. Studies have shown that the hippocampus and amygdala, the two main sites in our brain regulating emotions and memory get activated with feelings of gratitude. So, people who "practice gratitude" are basically training their brain to induce more positive emotions and therefore benefit from all the stuff I listed earlier. Oprah Winfrey said, "Be thankful for what you have, you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never ever have enough". The goal is to practice gratitude in order to have more of what you want. Ways to Practice Gratitude -Appreciate Yourself through positive self talk and acknowledging your wins -Gratitude journals are a great way to structure a daily ritual for gratitude and appreciation for what you have. -Mindfulness Practice will help you to be more aware and "present" which will assist you in becoming more grateful. -Volunteer for Service in order to show gratitude and keep yourself in a state of gratitude. -Express Gratitude to people you are around every day including family, friends, colleague. -Spend quality TIME with people you care about and help to support you. -Embrace challenges and view them as opportunities to grow and learn. -Reward yourself and others for the small wins you accomplish in day to day life. -Small acts of kindness and appreciation will help you to train yourself to be more grateful for the small things in life as well. Ultimately, we can find many many ways to practice gratitude, and I believe that the more you practice gratitude the more you'll increase your happiness in your life. It truly is a strategy to reduce stress, depression, and anxiety. I challenge you to put a gratitude practice into your daily rituals and your life. If you do this consistently, I believe you will train your brain and they have a powerful ally for defeating that inner critic that works against you daily in life. I hope you will join me in practicing gratitude more in your life, and I hope you will share the message of gratitude with others that you may not be aware need this message for themselves.
